This time, after maybe using 50 feet or so I started to notice a bump or ridge about 3/4" wide all around one end of the roll. Eventually i came to it. It's about a 3/4" wide strip of what appears to be the transfer paper but without any adhesive. It's almost impossible to remove and if I AM able to remove the strip itleaves and impression in the tape that interferes with burnishing.

The masking works well with the wood products going through the laser engraving process. It has just the right amount of adherence to eliminate charring even on the thinnest cuts. It is easy to remove the masking which saves production time. it is a great value at a fair price.

I had a older roll of this tape and had issues with it, so I ordered a new roll that was not the problem the new roll does the same thing. When pulling the tape off to use, it sticks to its self and rips other layers off making it unusable. This situation puts me behind on finishing orders. If it would stop ripping the product is great.

I have used this for years! Never a problem. My last two rolls have been horrible. They don’t roll out nicely and rip the layer under them. There is no way to get to customer service to have replaced without returning and waiting for them to receive it and reorder. Well since last two rolls are damaged I don’t have extra to use while I wait and I just wanted them to send a new roll. No way to talk to anyone though so I am out almost $85. Now to search for another brand to use when this could have been resolved so easily if they only had customer service.

Update: The seller reached out and offered to replace the current roll I have. It arrived promptly, and the new roll rips much better, although is still very stuck to the roll itself. The adhesion to vinyl is stronger than the first roll, and works well if you roll/pressure apply it and then let it adhere to the tape. Given it's price point and experience so far there's a risk you'll get a bad roll, but the seller was prompt and polite to deal with, and all things considered it's a good product for the price.--------------------------Rips very unevenly, and is very very difficult to remove from the roll, which would make sense if it had good adhesion to vinyl. It doesn't, and you end up slowly and gently rolling it ever so slightly millimeter by millimeter to try and get it to adhere to the tape and not the vinyl's own backer.If it was able to adhere to the vinyl, this would be a killer deal, but this is not even as good as a dollar store roll of masking tape. There are other brands out there that you may have better experience with, but this roll isn't very useful.

This is a great tape for masking wood before lasering. There is no residue when you remove it and it peels off easily. We use this for every job and never had any issues!

Great paper for sketches. I do customs paints on cars and when I want to do a design. This comes in handy for tracing on the car.

The adhesion on this is a tad bit too low to succesfully use with Vinyl decals. It works decent with some of my larger decals, but anything that is below 8x8, customers seem to complain that the tack on the tape is not high enough to lift the vinyl decal from the backing paper that the vinyl is on. I switched to a different brand as I tried this myself and noticed that it for sure does not have enough tack to fully lift the decal all the way off. I really wanted to like this one, but it is just not something that I can use all the time anymorel. This is great if you are needing it for painting or spraying texture on a wall and want to control the splatter, but for vinyl decals it is not all that great.
