Annis Han-D-Mags are available in 8 different models. The more usual, standard Model 115-S, short probe model has a 2 1/4" long probe that is .415" thick. Long probe models have a 4 1/4" long probe. Thin probe models are only .315" thick Efficient magnetic design of the Han-D-Mag has resulted in a 5 times more efficient Head Demagnetizer.

Serious Pro Unit
I don't think you can find a heavier duty more serious demag unit than this one. Powerful well designed unit is highly effective when used properly. Read the instructions before use if not familiar with demags or you can accidentally magnetize something. Bought this to maintain a Nagra and several Revox and Teac tape decks.

Nice but limited
The Cadillac of Degmagnetizers. Only problem, it's Cadillac huge and will not fit into any of my cassette decks. Big heavy body, nice construction, but to use it would mean I would have to disassemble the decks. Oh well.

Built like a tank
This thing is built like a tank. Works great so far on my real to real and tape decks.

The best
This is the best tape head demag unit ever made and I've used many, including Teac. There's nothing else like it on the market and the degauss field is so strong, that you need to get any tapes lying around at least three ft away, while using this unit. Don't confuse this with or try to use it as a bulk eraser. Although it might work at that to some degree, is is strictly made to demag everything in the tape path of a R2R or cassette deck.

A Powerful Demagnetizer
A really good test to show how powerful this is in comparison to other cheaper models, is to run it next to a crt screen displaying all white. My cheaper demagnetizer shows hardly any interference, even when it's close to the screen and most of the magnetic interference appears away from the tip. The RB Annis definitely shows its power on a crt, even from a distance. When it comes to demagnetizing some tape decks, I would recommend getting a Tesla/Gauss meter. They are good for checking whether or not it's necessary to demagnetize in the first place or to make sure the deck has been uniformly demagnetized after you're done. In one case, using a cheaper model, I found that one spindle was still magnetized. The one I use is a Latnex MF-30k that I got off eBay.

My reel to reel deck hasn't sounded like this in a long time
This is the ultimate demagnetizer. I've used the cheapy pencil type ones before and have had little success. As soon as you open the box and pick this thing up, you know you have the Cadillac of demagnetizers. It's very simple to use as long as you follow the instructions very carefully. My reel to reel deck hasn't sounded like this in a long time. I noticed the difference right away. The highs were higher. Everything was crisper. And what little tape hiss I had before was now gone. I've always been skeptical of wether demagnetizing was necessary or not, until now that is. I realized I've been using the wrong equipment. This was well worth the money. People. Don't waste your time or money on the others. This unit is the only way to go

Powerfull!
Just got this for off label use. Very well built! Incredible quality. Just the fact that they didn't cheap out and get rid of the steel spring on the cord at the case says they care about their product.
