Yet another amazing DuPont product!
Wow! This is absolutely outstanding. Very free flowing seems thinner than water. Boy does one tiny drop work wonders! it seems to wet metal surfaces instantly and a drop placed of the sole of a wood plane and wiped off is all that is needed to make that plane cut effortlessly, seemingly without friction. This stuff is absolutely amazing. The bottle does not say anything about preventing rust, but the way it adheres to steel and cast iron surfaces suggests it might. I have always used paste wax on the cast iron table of my table saw but when I used just a few drops of this DuPont silicone lubricant and then wiped the table with a rag it seemed to almost instantly make the top nonstick without leaving noticeable oiliness on the surface. This is truly amazing stuff. I guess it is the boron nitride nano particles in it that make the surface seem like it is covered with microscopic ball bearings. Time will tell how this stuff holds up but so far it's been absolutely amazing!!! This is coming from the same chemical company that invented Nylon, Neoprene, Tyvek, Teflon, Freons, the first really great water based exterior paints (Lucite), Raindance car "wax", etc. etc. (DuPont later sold some of these brand names.) This Dupont lubricant seems to be yet another breakthrough DuPont product. It's just amazing. It's just a small plastic squeeze bottle, but one tiny drop goes a long way. It's amazing how this lubricant seems to be pulled into every crack and crevice of metal mechanisms. I put one drop into my backdoor lock that was sticking a bit and a drop on each hinge and now the droor shuts and locks itself seemingly with no effort at all. This stuff is magical! The only thing DuPont could have improved on would be the hard to work childproof cap. Like so many of the products using these annoying caps, it is hard to push down with enough force to get it to grip and still be able to turn it because of it's small diameter. Despite the lousy bottle cap, this is simply an amazing product! I can't recommend it too highly.

Silicone on roof rails
Wear rubber gloves when using this product. Slippery when applying to surfaces of my sunroof. The mechanism works better now and seals nicely. Thank you.

Great for seatbelt latches
Had a hard time getting the back seatbelt fastened for my granddaughter who sits in a booster seat. Very frustrating! Worked like a charm! It immediately fixed the problem. Now seatbelt is easier to fasten! No spraying necessary. Just put a few drops in the fastener and it was done! No mess!

Good stuff
Works great!

Works well but drips everywhere
The liquid is very thin, thinner than water, it simply drips down from the tip of the bottle. It is hence hard to put the lubricant to where you need it precisely. But it lubricates very well.

Good Lubricant for Plastic Items such as Rollers
Good lubricant for plastic items, like patio screen door wheels. Unlike petroleum lubricants does not eat at plastic

One application is long-lasting
The product that I used before this one had to be re-applied often to my universal machine where the weights slide up and down on chrome rods. I've had one application of this product on there for about 12 workouts and it's still working well. Highly recommended.

Used On Vintage Pfaff with GREAT Results
I am always playing around with different oils on my vintage and antique sewing machines. You get in trouble with the purists if you use 3-in-1 because of good reasons®, so you end up somewhere around the Tri-Flow page and go from there.I bought this as an experiment. I had never used silicone lubricants on an antique machine and wanted to see if there was a difference in feel to it.Wow. I cleaned my Pfaff 130 from 1936 bone dry for maintenance and then used this to lubricate it and just wow. It spins SO freely that I could probably put a windmill on the hand wheel and sew by blowing on it. Seriously. I have never felt one of these machines spin so freely. Like I can spin the hand wheel and it rotates a couple of extra times without my hand on it.I'm not going to tell anyone I did this on sewing machine forums, as I have absolutely no backbone to argue with people about things on the internet, but I did it and unless there is some unforeseen consequence over the next few months of sewing, this will be the stuff I use as I clean and re-oil my machine. Also: Door hinges. The only thing I really, really don't love is that the spigot is a little too big for as thin as the lubricant is, so it is hard to get *one drop* and things get a little messy. But there you go. Just don't tell the sewing machine people because they all have VERY STRONG opinions and I just don't have the intestinal fortitude to battle that. But barring something unforeseen, I love this stuff.
