Easy install, all tool included. Although try screw driver provided to pry the bed gate retention cable was a Phillips instead of a regular all tools worked and the installation took about 15 minutes. Thrilled the bed no longer makes a loud bang if I have to drop it with hands full. All the parts are robust and finished well. Confident in good service from them. This install was on a 2025 Lariat Maverick and the drivers side bottle opened had to be removed to install. It is a star bolt that is not included in the tools so be aware that is needed. Comes in a variety of driver bit combinations at a home center.

I bought this to add to my F150. It was easy to install and it works perfectly. A previous truck already had a tailgate assist and I was so used to it being there. When I bought this truck I just let go of the tailgate and it slammed down, There was no way that I could be retrained, so I bought this and it is excellent.It is well made and worth the money.

Very easy to install but had to use some of my own tools as the supplied wrenches would not get the job done. I will say, it was all on the vehicle and not part of the actual part.

It works…sort ofI bought this based on the reviews here. It does seem to be good quality with good material. It does have some heft to it based on the materials used. Installing was easy. The price was just right.My biggest complaint and why im giving 3 stars is that it came loose after about 2 months of use. I thought it would hold longer. I screwed it back in and waiting to see if it’ll come loose again. Other wise a good buy.

Yes, prefect fit. The wrench provided is undersized so it's better if you have the T50 with a 3/8 ratchet. Installation is quick and yes you need to remove the bottle open on the Maverick.

Perfect fit for my 2018 5.5ft, plug and play took less then 2 minutes. I choose not to install the mounts and used the factory ones already installed.

Fits like a glove on my 2024 Maverick Lariat! Easy to follow instructions, all the parts and tools you need (well, almost), and quick, easy install. It did NOT come with a T-20 star wrench which I needed to remove the bottle opener on the tailgate, but fortunately I had one in my toolbox. SUCH a huge improvement for such a small part. It's one of the little things that makes me even happier I bought a Maverick! $20 extremely well spent!!!

Install took about 15 minutes. My truck has (had) a tie down points that overhung the side of the tailgate. 1 had to be removed because it wouldn't clear the newly installed strut. Otherwise, the directions were pretty easy and it works great, preventing the heavy tailgate from slamming down or depending on the user to hold and guide it.
