I bought this for my partner as a gift. For those that find heat helpful around period time, then this might be worth a look. Hot water bottles give relief I am told, yet this one has the added bonus of being much longer. Giving options to put this around your body where relief is needed. Useful at other times around the neck and shoulders. It has a soft outer material and is easy enough to fill up. The only technique I had adapted to is putting the bottom on the ground, then squeezing it lightly with my knees to remove some air, before putting the stopper in. Sounds comical but does the job! And a well received gift.

This is one of the best purchases I’ve made recently, with the cost of living crisis and not being able to use the heating much.I fill this up first thing in the morning (I fill to 3/4 using up to the 6 cups mark on my kettle), and put it under my duvet by my feet. Keeping my feet warm seems to really help keep my body temperature up even when my room is below 13c, and this stays hot until the evening. I fill it again before bed, lay it next to me, and it’s usually still warm when I wake up.It seems to be very high quality, extremely thick material with lots of grooves to increase insulation, and has a tall lip at the opening so there is less chance of spilling water when filling it up. The soft cover also feels lovely and is thick enough that you won’t burn yourself holding it (it does get very hot though, so if giving to a child I would recommend wrapping an extra blanket around it for the first hour or 2 after filling).I’ve had this for nearly 2 months now, using it nearly 24/7, and I would definitely recommend it. I’ll update again in a few months if I have any problems.

Not sure if it's the cover or the rubber thickness, but this seems to be very well insulated, which means that it keeps its heat well through the night and isn't likely to get uncomfortably hot. The long shape is great for keeping the end of the bed warm.I will say though, I can't give it 5 stars because the cover material, while nice and soft, sheds a bit even after giving it a good shake outside to clear the worst of it. I'm hoping this is just because it is new, but I've never had this problem with similar looking fabrics on things like teddy bears.It being an unusual shape, I'm not sure how easy it would be to find an alternative cover that fits it correctly.

I've had several hot water bottles over the years, but this one tops the lot, it's brilliant! It's extra long so keeps the bottom of the bed lovely and warm, and both my hubby and I can share it. It keeps its heat for several hours, i.e was put in the bed around 11pm, and still felt warm at 6am. The furry cover makes it feel extra cosy. I almost bought one of these in a garden centre for twice the price too, so glad I checked out Amazon when I came home. I've just ordered a 2nd one so that we can both snuggle up with them when it's really cold, they'll keep us warm and save having to put the heating on too much 😉
