Say goodbye to magnets
I lost my previous net due to the standard “magnetic” set up. So, I changed it up with a retractable lanyard and it works much better. No longer have to “fish for the magnet” on my back, rather just let it go and feel the magic. Just make sure you compare the weight of your net to the retract strength weight of the lanyard. Obviously, use a net that is equal to or lighter then the “retract strength”. 12.5 oz pull strength for 9.5 oz net works like a champ!🎣

Retriever works well.
After looking at a few reviews I chose this retriever because I saw that it should be strong and robust enough for my fishing net. I even bought 2. One for my wading staff also.

Great for wading staff
Retractor was a great addition to my fly fishing tackle. I am not a spring chicken any longer and I am not a sure-footed as I once was. A wading staff really helped, but it was difficult to manage when not wading. This retractor is strong enough to keep the staff up out of the way and not too strong as to have to fight the tension while wading. I am totally happy with the purchase. In fact, I'm going to order another for my net.
