A convenient White Balance card . Convenient to Carry or place in Bag
If your a photographer , white balance check is a good process. These cards 2 1/2 x 3, the size of a credit card. Size , makes them easy to put in your pocket or bag. It comes with a hang around strap that also makes it convenient. It's inexpensive , convenient, easy to transport. I'm giving it a 5 because it does what it's supposed to do. My only criticism, it's a touch small. If your looking for something larger, I purchased a collapsable Studio 98 white balance item 12x12. I like it better because the sample is larger and easier to work with and as well can be easily transported. I will be writing a review on that product. Difference being , that the sample is larger and covers a great sample area . An yes these cards will work. Happy Shopping

Well made and handy card set
I will have this card set in my bag at all times now they really help get the balance right, good reference points whether you use the black the white or the grey. These cards are approximately the size of credit cards and can be used to create a camera white balance (yes it can be done easily) or in post production if you photograph the cards in the light you were shooting in using the eyedropper tool you can try all three to see which works best. The cards and strap are well made, the cards are a matte finish and plastic can be easily cleaned, and on close comparison to my calibrated monitor and next too 18% in Photoshop these are indeed 18%.There is a lot of info on the net about 18% and it's significance in digital photography (the cameras light sensor), just remember you can use any shade of gray as well as black or white to set color temperature, often it is a matter of preference after all and often I just set it to where I think it looks good. The one photo I posted is just a quick wide angle shot under florescent light (dim light at that) cropped down to the grey card. I then sampled the card with the eyedropper (camera raw) and the color is instantly set correctly and as you can see makes a big difference. If I had used the black or white card there would be subtle difference but more of a cast with the white, the grey however will always be as close to correct as you will get.I could have zoomed in camera on the card and used that to set a custom white balance, on my camera all I need is the frame center portion to be filled. You could use these to "set exposure" as well but a bigger grey target would be more convenient, the fold up grey target also has a white side that can be used as a reflectorI was emailed a book on composition as well as one on how to use the cards, a nice touch I think.

Big, sturdy, accurate white balance. Great for Infrared
Excellent product. Bigger and sturdier than I had expected.I wanted something that my friend could hold while I took Infrared pictures so that I could get a quick white balance each time I changed subject, and I wanted something much more substantial than the postage stamp-sized white balance cards that I had. In this fashion he could remain off subject but i could still easily focus much of my frame on the white balance card before each change of subject. Item worked perfectly for this task. The color is accurate, and the price was very good.

Cards arrived quickly after an initial problem. So far, so good.
Updated review (original review at bottom):In my original review, I stated that I received only the lanyard without the cards. I am updating my original review here to say that the company responded very quickly to my email about not having received the cards. They were very professional about the problem, and said that they were immediately sending the cards to me.The cards arrived within a couple of days as promised, and they are in perfect condition. As some reviewers have stated, they are a little small, but are very useful. The resulting color balance is slightly warm, but nothing that can't be worked with.Original review:I received a lanyard. That’s it. Nothing more. I wonder if I can white balance my camera with it?

Convenient and Professional Card Set
This is a great set of cards for white balance. I'm not a professional photographer, I'm just trying to get true white in my photos for Ebay ads. This set of cards is very convenient to carry around. They are not very big, but seems to work just fine for me. The lanyard is very nice for keeping them together and hanging at the ready. The cards are excellent quality and should last a very long time and take a beating even in outdoor conditions.

Too Small
The most important aspect of this product is its tiny size, which also means a low price. I feel that they neglected to make this point prominent in the product title and description. While convenient to carry, it's inconvenient to use.Setting custom white balance requires taking a photo filled with the grey tone. Because the card is tiny, you have to get to macro distance to fill the frame, but in order to do this you first have to either use manual focus, or focus in advance and then move in. You might also be so close as to block the light source from reaching the card. This is not something I want to deal with when shooting. The description should have a photo of a hand or camera next to the cards to communicate their unconventional size and let the buyer decide if this is practical, beyond just getting a low price.

Small, easy, and a must need if you're a professional
If you're a professional photographer you know getting the white balance right is key. Other white balance cards are a bit bulky and annoying, but this is so small and will give you either true whites, blacks, and greys.I use this thing at all times and these are the size of Pokemon cards.I like how they come with a lanyard so you can hang them around your neck.Directions on how to use in post (Photoshop):[]Have the subject or model hold the card*If you're white balance is off you can click the correct white balance section and put it to Auto. (If you don't know what you're doing)*If you do know what you're doing you can click the eye dropper and select the white card. And it does MAGIC!
