Best dog shampoo ever!
Absolutely love this brand. All of their bar soaps for dogs have been amazing and I have tried quite a few. This has a light clean mint scent that DOESN'T linger on the dog. No minty dog, I promise. It’s been wonderful to sooth inflamed skin and my dog has had a shinier coat and almost no scratching since I switched to this soap. It’s the easiest to use to, just wet fur, rub on soap, rinse. No slippery bottle to pour and drip. This bar lathers very nicely and rinses clean without leaving any film or residue. Just awesome. Wouldn’t give it up for the world.

Much better than the liquid
I purchase this for my large lab/shepherd mix who sheds constantly! He also (as anyone who has a lab or shepherd probably knows) loves to be in the water. This means I must wash him more than I'd care too. His thick undercoat traps dirt and sand and is difficult to wash. I bath him in our bathtub which isn't an easy task with a 100 pound dog but it is made much easier with this bar soap over the same brand of liquid. The liquid didn't go nearly as far. I felt I was able to use the bar and get deeper into the fur and clean it much more thoroughly and rinsing it was easier as well. I also use this particular brand because Zeke has a yeast infection which makes him smell. DerMagic not only makes him smell better for a longer time but it makes him more comfortable as well. He itches and licks less when I use this. I really do recommend this bar. I also appreciate that it's organic. I've tried other shampoos and he ends up itching so much more and if you have an itchy dog you know that's the last thing you want. Just a tip for anyone with an itchy yeasty dog use this shampoo and also try a white vinegar rinse. (1/2 cup vinegar to 1 gallon water as a rinse after shampooing and leave on. The smell does go away. You and your dog will be so much happier.)

Smells Fantastic
Let me start off by saying, I love this shampoo! It smells good enough to use on myself! It has a refreshing, cooling peppermint smell and feel. I love that this product is eco-friendly and lasts a long time. It makes it easy to bathe my dog. I use one hand to hold him and the other to rub the soap across him. He's so soft and clean and his skin irritation is gone! I just wish the bar was a little bit bigger.

This is the way to apply soap to your dog! Good stuff!
The bar is the only way to go if you are washing your own dogs. Shampoo, for me, ends up down the drain or heavy in some spots and thin in others. With this bar, you can easily apply the soap to a wet dog and then work on the lather. It smells great and rinses clean. Make sure to put the bar back in the paper box when you are done because it will absorb water. My German Shepherd doesn't mind the smell, I love it. He got muddy near the lake and started to itch. This soap took off all the muck and got into the first layer of his coat and cleaned out all the junk trapped in there by the outer coarse coat. It quickly rinsed out and left a pleasant smell that goes away and will not mess with your dog's nose for tracking.I will NEVER use shampoo again. Thanks!

Good product but not for my dog
There seems to be mixed reviews on this product but I got one anyway. I will say that its so much easier to wash my 50 lb. long hair Gordon setter with this bar & it will last a few washes (don't leave soap in damp area, let it dry after use). The smell was ok, nothing overwhelming.Unfortunately this caused some dandruff on my dog & yes I did rinse her well & there was no soap left on her (I use a hose attachment in tub). She has never had dandruff like this before, I washed her again with a different brand oatmeal soap & the dandruff was gone.I think every dog will probably have different reaction to different products, disappointed it didn't work with mine.

Like the bar, not the smell
Recommended by my holistic vet. I've used it once, lathered up nicely. Like that it's in bar form, will last a long time. Not a fan of the smell.

My DERMagic Experience
Hello all! First of all before I begin my review, I want whoever is reading this to first and foremost know this is MY experience with these products, and every dog’s body, condition and experience will be different. I just wanted to share how it worked for my pup. If you are struggling with this black skin desease or dry skin condition, I highly first recommend you get your dog tested for the following: a blood panel, urinalysis, thyroid testing and adrenal hormone testing. My vet also took some samples of my dogs dry skin to look under a microscope to see if there were any bacteria. I recommend this in order to rule out any other underlying conditions. Based on the results, the veterinarian will recommend treatment. Make sure you do a lot of research before treating your dog. Fortunately for me, all test results came back good and the vet recommended a mousse (which made my dog’s skin dryer and worse). So I took matters into my own hands and did research. I first used the DERMagic Skin Rescue Lotion every day on the BALD SPOTS of my dog and I used the DERMagic Skin Rescue Grooming Spitz on the rest of the body (make sure you spit the hair open so the spray gets onto the dogs skin). After I finished applying I would put on a jump suit and washable diaper on my dog so the product stayed on and wouldn’t rub off while getting on the bed, couches, floor, etc.I used “KOESON Dog Recovery Suit, Dog Onesie” and the diaper was from PetSmart “Top Paw washable diaper.” I would do it every night and in the mornings remove diaper and jumpsuit.Instead of washing my dog once a month I washed her every two weeks. The day before bath, I would cover the dry areas with coconut oil and put on her jumpsuit and diaper for the night. Use extra virgin, organic, cold-pressed unrefined coconut oil.The next day I would wash her using “TropiClean OxyMed Hypo-Allergenic Oatmeal shampoo” then using “DERMagic organic shampoo bar (Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil),” then I would use the “DERMagic Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil Conditioner.”In time her black skin was slowly disappearing and her bald spots was growing back hair. Once she grew out a lot of hair and it looks great, I would just use the spray twice a week and brush her hair out 1-2 times a week. I will continue to wash her twice a month and will be maintaining her coat in great shape. I noticed this condition started as soon as I neglected brushing her hair weekly and now using spray. What also helped was applying salmon oil every day into her diet. I used Zesty Pawls brand.Consistency and patience is key! I’m on month three now of this hard work and it definitely paid off!
