Just what I wanted
Just received this 9 liter pack today. After thoroughly inspecting it, I find it well made without any loose stitching or substandard quality control. The design is simple but robust with lots of potential for adding utility pouches due to plenty of outer molle loops. I spent months researching for the right sized daypack under 15 liters for multi purpose use and always ended up looking at this one so decided to go ahead and order it. I’m not disappointed and find the material very durable and the zippers to be of good quality. I like that it sits high up on my back and easy to adjust the fit. This will definitely help if I’m going to use this along with a minimalist chest rig but, also needing haul some extra gear and a water bladder, which this pack has a bladder sleeve and drink tube opening slot. The slot is semi self sealing so if you’re not using a bladder, it should keep debris out of the pack. The padded strap is narrow but wide enough to keep from digging into my shoulders. Just be mindful that this is a 9 liter daypack so if you load it down with excess weight you will feel discomfort so think about proper weight displacement. I don’t know if this pack will handle rough handling and perform in repeat exposure to the elements but, from my experience from owning couple of dozen of daypacks and bigger backpacks, I’m confident this pack will hold up nicely if not used in an unreasonable way. I plan to keep the weight carry ratio under 10 lbs or adjust accordingly depending on experimentation. I plan to generally use this for day hikes and tactical situations involving short distances and duration…of course, that’s if things don’t sideways because Mr. Murphy decided to come along lol. Overall I like this little pack and highly recommend it for those looking for the “not too small yet not to big” daypack.
