You will most likely need a pin vice for these bits
These are coated High Speed Steel (HSS) drill bits. They are fine for expanding brass orifices and drilling other soft metals. Being of such fine gauge, without great care of drilling speeds or excessive force they will be easily damaged. The larger gauge bits are not as susceptible to heat and force. These are a very good buy at this price and will last plenty long with reasonable care.

Well packaged and numbered
Seem fine but a little shorter than most bit sets.

Disappointing right out of the box.
I needed to replace 4 wire-gauge drill bits that I purchased originally from Snap-On Tools about 50 years ago. I'm sure that they were probably over-priced back then, but after 50 years, they have been a relative bargain. Three drill bits were missing and one I broke yesterday, a #5, which is .205" in diameter. These could have been individually purchased for about half the price of buying all 60 of them in this set. But there are problems with this set:Four of the bits fell out of the holes into the bottom of the box during shipping. They were 45-48. The bits get smaller as the number increases and the smaller ones have no visible identification on them. Their gauge numbers are printed near their holes in the rack inside the box. The Snap-On index drill bits had both the gauge size and their actual diameters in inches on individual racks that separated from one another and were easy to read. The drill bits in this set were all shorter in length than the Snap-Ons. In order to figure out in which slots the 4 loose drill bits should go into, I was unable to just eye-ball them, so I used a Rexbeti digital caliper (sold here) and I compared the readings to the sizes stamped on the Snap-On bit rack. The 4 were all slightly undersized (which is better than oversized), but I ran into 2 bits that measured consistently the same size, #48. I do not know if a more expensive set would be any better.I do a lot of metalwork using 360 brass (it's a common soft brass sold here). When drilling holes to be tapped for 6 mm set screws, one needs the 0.205" drill bit (the #5). I can't comment on this set's durability yet. As for the tiny drill bits in this set, it is unlikely that one will find a needed use for them. When I was a college student racing VW Beetles, I would experiment with enlarging the jets in its carburetor. Other than that or possibly watch repair, I don't know why anyone would need the 15-20 smallest bits in any of these sets. By the way, the largest bit (the #1) is less than 1/4". If you need something slightly larger than 1/4", say for a long sleeve bushing fitting over a 1/4" shaft, I recommend going metric with a 6.3 mm drill bit, also sold here.

You get what you pay for
This numbered drill bit set is complete garbage, there's a reason why the price is so cheap.1) The accuracy of the drill bits are a joke. I checked my set with my micrometer and sizes are off by as much as .005" which is a lot.2) I have only needed to use three bits out of this set and one was bent.3) The grind on these bits are horrible, they can't even get through thin mild steel.Pony up the dough and buy a better brand!

Nice drills disappointing box
These drills appear to be sharp and correctly sized. The box is downright cheap and larger than it needs to be.

Decent drill bits in a horrible case
I dislike writing negative reviews, but for this drill bit set I feel it's necessary. The drills are mediocre at best. Although I seldom use numbered drills, the rate of breakage of bits far exceeds all other drill sets I have and use regularly. The bits can be resharpened, but they seem to hold their edge for a shorter period of service than other drill sets I use.The worst part of this set, however, is the case. First, the case doesn't have any sort of fastener to keep the lid closed. Secondly, there's no indication of top of case which resulted in several instances where bits spilled out of the case when I opened it. Third, the smaller bits tend to fall out of the index while the case is closed and fall behind the index where I was unable to retrieve them. Every so often one fell out. I took to keeping the small bits in a zip seal poly bag. I no longer lose bits to the case, but my poor vision and the tiny size of the bits makes it almost impossible to determine the diameter of the bit without calipers.I should have returned this set immediately upon opening it. Most of the small diameter bits were not in the index - I determined they were behind the index, but had great difficulty retrieving the bits. This was a relatively inexpensive set, but I'm confident there are better sets in the same price range and there are great sets for more money.
