Great light fixture, works perfectly with Hue
I wanted to set up recessed lights around the perimeter of my room to use with Philips Hue GU10 style lights, and to set up with the sync box for room lighting effects. These fixtures were very easy to install, I was able to use a hole saw (I believe 3") to cut the holes out, which I think saved on a lot of dust and heartache when it came to nailing the placement. I saw complaints about the box being too small- I did not get this impression. I was able to easily fit 1x 12-2 Romex and 1x 14-2 Romex into 2 of the boxes, the rest I made up with 2x 14-2 and never had issues getting everything tucked into place. You could probably do 2x 12-2 as well, but for how little power these draw, I don't think the added expense of the wire makes any sense unless you had something higher powered farther along this electrical branch.I can also confirm they work great with the new style Philips Hue GU10 bulbs. For the money, it's a really high-end look and I like the results far better than the 6 inch cans I've been installing elsewhere in my house.

Works as expected.
They work just as expected. We use them as highlighted areas at windows in our new kitchen. They are pretty easy to install and they are pretty bright. Almost thought about putting a dimmer on them. Would buy again. Love the tilt feature.

Decent Recessed Lights for a Decent Price
Building a home, I am new to the recessed lighting game. As such I have many things I could gripe about. Including these lights. But, for the money these are not bad. By using the LED Bulbs, they are IC certified, I am not concerned about insulation around these. And the LEDs just make sense for so many reasons. Please note tho that these lights by themselves are not suitable for new construction (like in the new home). I had to add the recommended New Construction Kits to mount 8 or so between 16 inch spaced ceiling joists down two hallways. (Those kits will get a 3.5 rating, they needed firming up with some add'l support. Wire twists, etc. to ensure they stay in place before the sheet rock goes up.)One thing a friend suggested for recessed lights, and I am so glad he did. Before closing anything up, wire up the lights and (according to electrical code) build a test circuit with your planned dimmer or on/off switch to test them out. There are 3 things you need to verify; 1. All the lights and switches work together. 2. The lighting color is what you (and your spouse etc.?) want. 3. The placement of each light gives you the right focus when adjusting the gimbal (angle) direction of the light. (I asked the wife to sign off on each one as she is a photographer and requested these in our hallway. Once the sheet rock is up, moving these around involves demo work. Test the lights, the dimmer, the light color, dimmer calibration etc.

compact and easy to use
IC rated with an LED bulb. Love it. I used a 3 inch hole saw and it was a PERFECT snug fit. If I would have used the 3.25 incher it would loose. The J-box is a bit small but you can get a 14 Romex in and out plus the light connectors. Do not forget the Romex strain reliefs. This was an easy job.

Installed 75 of these - ugggghh -DO NOT use on traditional 'new construction'
So we just installed 75 of these. Here is the summary:1. DO NOT use these for NEW CONSTRUCTION with "All in One New Construction Recessed Lighting Mounting Plate, 4x 12" Hanger Bars, Aluminum Finish, Globe Electric 90141". You use those to pass electrical inspection before the drywall is installed. What happens when you put the drywall on is that the light face doesn't fit in the can!!!!! So we had a real mess removing drywall and fittings to redo ALL of them. Yes - we had to pull ALL of them.2. Two wire rated for 14 AWG to pass INSPECTION? Who knows? I asked their technical support for the total cubic inches - no answer. I called and left voice mails - AND emailed/used forms on their website. So I had to measure / estimate myself. You need at least 10 cubic inches for 2 14/2 wires - and my estimates put it lower than that. AGAIN - so that was another reason to rip them down. So if you use them, you need to run single lines from a junction box, significantly increasing the amount/cost of wire and labor needed.3. They were VERY USEFUL on OLD construction. Drill the hole in the drywall, pop in - and it works --- but read the next item...4. BE VERY CAREFUL to not clip the wires to the light bulb when mounting the side clips to the drywall. Over 50% of the time, the metal clips have grooves in it that catch the wires. A simple nick could short the circuit or cause a fire. We tripled checked ours to make sure...
