When I recieved this replacement remote, it worked fine out if the box. It was only after a couple weeks when I tried to use the voice feature that I thought it was defective. I was about to return it and was rereading the description section that I came accross instructions where it advised resetting the voice control feature on the TV. I did that, very simple and now it works fine. Almost returned this for a new one and it turned out that I was the problem not reading all the instructions. The unit works great now and I would recomend it for a replacement so far.

This is the perfect replacement for my Sony 50 inch tv. If the voice control doesn't work, make sure you read the instructions as there is step to correct that. Very happy with this purchase.

Great quality remote, only issue I have is that I didn't read the fine print when replacing my TX200U with this model meant that certain features would not be available, namely use of the keyboard/typing. This is not available on my TVs: Sony XBR43X800E 43-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2017 Model), Sony XBR55X800E 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2017 Model), Sony XBR55X900E 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2017 Model).So, it's a great remote, no doubt. Just pay attention to which TVs it works on...

We literally inherited this from a passed relative as everyone else had a wide-screen TV yet except us! Really! No remote so we order a remote and only now with this remote, do we NOW realize how cheap that older remote was! All the buttons function perfectly. While there's no audio indication like the older one to indicate its use, but while we had to struggle with the other with our 43" 800e Sony smart TV, this is quiet and no more fighting with the remote to get the channel switched or anything else! This one also has voice capability and we have tested it and it is indeed a step into the future for us! PS: Will NOT function with rechargeable batteries.

The buttons do not work as expected. Very slow to activate

This is the 3rd remote I have had to replace. Works. For now.

Works great and paired easily, directions were included. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because it has 3 sets of numbers on the bottom front of the remote rather than 1 or none. I would have ordered a different one and saved a couple of bucks rather than ordering this one if I knew it would not be exactly as pictured. It works great, so I am keeping it.
