Not Cheap, But Is A Quality Product
It might be the last toaster you buy. Made for high volume settings like restaurants. Large controls, even toasting and fast. Needs a 3 prong outlet.

It's a toaster
It is a wide slot toaster so you can fit bagels which is nice. Apparently there are two models. One has a bagel button and one doesn't. This one does not have a bagel button. The bagel button makes it so that only one side of the bagel will get toasted. Since there isn't a button on this model for that feature it will always toast both sides. That is fine with what we needed. When we first tried to use the toaster sparks came flying out and it blew a breaker! Wow that was unexpected. I messaged the seller who put me in touch with the manufacturer. They thought perhaps a wire came loose during shipping and caused it to short out. They did send us a new toaster which seems to work very well. I was happy with the customer service. Overall it is a nice toaster. For the money I hope it lasts.

two of the three I purchased doesn't work after 45 days
These toaster worked well in the beginning but after 45ndays of use, two of the three toasters I purchased do not work. I will update this review after I hear back fromt he company to see what they will do about it.UP-DATE-I am just out the money, The customer survice wasn't helpful at all. I spent 440.00 plus tax to use 2 of the toasters for about 45 days. I will say the third toaster I purchased at the same time is working great. I would not purchase these again. I'll go with the cheap 50.00 toasters from now on. I was hopeful they would make it right. It didn't happen.

Good handles
I got tired buying new toasters. They never seem to be able to handle the abuse in a four person household that likes toast so I bought this commercial version. I bought it because the handles look tough as nails. I'm glad I did the handles are strong and can handle the use, pun intended. Besides that it makes my non-toasted bread toasted so yes, it is a toaster.

the black plastic breaks pretty quickly
The knobs pretty much broke from the beginning and the black base fell apart within a year. I have it sitting on wood blocks. I bought it in 2018 and it still works except for one side can't pull up once it's started which means it's time to replace. I had a Waring at the same price level that I replaced. I still have that at home and it works fine. Always liked Hatco but I think this is their lowest level so it's made cheaply. I'm currently shopping for one and just noticed that I bought it at Amazon thus the review

very good toaster
We have a small bbq business and we toast the buns we use for sandwiches and they are very thick, the slots are wide and the toast is evenly browned. Not as fast as I wanted but better than our old one.

Good toaster for a break room
This gets used multiple times a day every day and it was finally replaced after 3 years of use. We will continue to always use this product. (Commercial Grade)

Darkness setting stopped working after 16 months. Avoid this model.
We've often used this brand (larger conveyor belt model) during hotel stays and enjoyed the even toasting it provided. So, we took a plunge and bought the commercial 4-slice pop-up version for home. $200+ mistake. Avoid this model. It has never toasted as evenly as we'd hoped, but now, after 16 mos., the darkness level on the left side cannot be set beyond 1 or 2 (of 7 levels) without burning bread to a crisp. See pictures of setting 3 we tried to use this morning. It's probably just a matter of time before we cannot use the left side at all. We'll probably go back to our $59 department store toaster. Hatco--if you'd credit us the money we spent on this model toward purchase of the conveyor model, we'd welcome that resolution.
