Upon reaching stability neither unit draws over 0.6A at 12V. Thus max power at equilibrium is only 6W.

24v 110C works GREAT! I put 18v DC to it and it gets to 118C in free air. Perfect self control!
At first I wired two of these, in series, to test my power supply (70w 19v 3.95A laptop charger, drops to 17-18v under load). Then I went to one heater and it worked much better than 2 in series. I have them pressed against an old computer heatsink and will control them with a DROK temp controller. I tested one in free air, and seen a max temp of 118C, using a IR temp gun and a thermocouple wire, same temp. Emissivity must not be too bad with extruded aluminum - it has a matte finish.Hopefully my review was helpful! :-)
