Pursuestar Brown Automatic Car Gear Shift Knob Shifter Head Stick Level for GM Vauxhall Buick Regal Opel Insignia 2009-2013

Ordered this because the button on my 2012 Buick Regal gear shift cracked and broke off, which made shifting the car from Park to Neutral/Drive/Reverse very tedious. The item came quickly, and was the right color (my interior trim is brown, not black. Not as heavy or solid feeling as the one it was replacing, but for the price, it can’t be beat. Installation of this new gear shift was very easy. But getting the old one off was very difficult. Watch several YouTube videos. I ended up following these steps:1) removed the base plate (put car in neutral so you can get the base plate up over the gear shift)2) pulled base plate over gear shift to see underside where leather collar is connected to gear shift - cut the zip tie3) after trying to twist off the silver base collar at the bottom of the gear shift, I very cautiously and reluctantly broke the plastic piece apart with a flat head screw driver to remove it4) putting car back into park, I firmly pulled up on broken gear shift to remove it5) I simply installed to new shifter by placing it on the gear shaft and pushing down firmly6) in reverse order, I positioned the underside of the leather sleeve around the base of the new collar, used a zip tie (which I supplied) to secure it in place, then pulled the base plate down over the gear shift, and snapped it back into place.

Matches interior well enough, feels 90% like the original, slight wiggle but seemed to be held on well after checking by pulling up on it. Popped on easy, only took about 10 minutes start to finish to swap and 9 of that was spent getting the off the bottom of the old one in order to access the c pin that held it on. Overall happy with purchase, cheap quick fix for a stupid, simple, but more than inconvenient problem.

This claims to fit 2008 VW Jetta but it does not. Button needs to be vertical and the gear shift knob button was horizontal. Will not work with 2008 Jetta unless yellow plastic safety clip is removed to override the need for button.

Purchased for my Buick 2013 so if the original part lasted 7 ish years and this one lasted 2+ years then I say it's pretty worth for $13 as opposed to $90Plastic looks cheap if you look closely, otherwise looks nice so you can't even tell at first. There was no chipping at all during it's lifespan.Leather portion looks nice too.

Awesome, easy to install watching a youtube video, should have gotten this a long time ago to replace my old, broken, leather peeling off original shift knob.

This car shifter knob is BROWN and matches the original it went on works and looks great. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this to replace the gear shift that broke. Sixteen months later, I'm buying another one to replace the one I bought. Very frustrating. Is there a better solution?
