Wilson Men's Harmonized Golf Chipper (Right Hand, Steel, 35-Inch)

If you are a great, or even good golfer, this may not be for you. Im really happy if im around 100 for the day. I top and chunk my chips constantly playing ping pong across the green. This thing is amazing, almost impossible to hit thin, so you always get a good chip. Most people say its for shots just off the green but ill use it anywhere within about 70 yards. (Have hit it farther though) The only time i actually use a chipping wedge now is if im in the sand or if i have a bunker in front of me, just because it doesnt get a ton of loft. Overall.. if you’re not the best golfer, its a great club at a good price that will take strokes off your game.

Not a top of the line but does the same job. It’s really improved my chipping game. Its well build. Had good head weight.

Love the club and it's balance, it would be perfect for me if it had a little more loft.

I love this type of club around the green...and even off up to about 30 yards in some cases. Good quality and stability. This saves you many chunky and fat chips. Go for it!

Bought one 3 years ago , helped my game tremendously. Used it from 10 inches to 100 yards.Unfortunately the last round I played i used it from 102 yards. Ball went onto the green the head of the chipper went 50 yards to my left. Glad no one got hit. Maybe it not constructed to be swung that hard. Will be getting another one.

The Wilson chipper has been a welcome addition to my bag. The head is heavy and the club moves through different surfaces easily. I use it to chip as far away as 25-30 yards and just off the green. The key is to take a backswing similar to a putter. Because of the heavy head, the club can be used like a lob wedge to hit over bunkers between you and the hole with ample clearance. I've also discovered that this chipper can be used in bunkers near the green where the sand is hard-packed and the ball is on top of the sand. I still use a SW and GW for longer shots and use this club when they would be too much club. A very versatile club for the price!Update July 3, 2020:At a practice bunker I use frequently, I was struggling with my sand wedge. Most of the surface is packed down so as not to provide enough sand to carry the ball out. I decided to experiment with the WilsonChipper. With an easy putting stroke backswing and accelerating follow through, the ball flies out of the sand on a high percentage of shots.

3.5 stars. For the price this isn't bad for what it is. If you can get used to it, it can be handy for shots a couple feet or right on the fringe of the green. I play it like it would a putter. A quarter swing or less will get it to bump and run on the green. Would be better if there was more bulk/weight to it to help chip the ball higher instead of shooting it more forward. Overall it is a little easier than using a wedge when your sitting on the fringe of the green
