Kids love this.
I bought two of these to use for hunting. This is great for kids. We have had several successful hunts using this. My oldest daughter used it with our crossbow successfully. Most amazing shot I have ever seen. It makes hunting in a blind very easy. The kids love it! Works great for rifles and crossbows. Very well built and is so easy to adjust for height and length of the "tool" you are using. Very easy and quick to put away and put in a backpack. I highly recommend this product.

Exactly as advertised.
I love this tripod. I use it to shoot in my crossbow but it would definitely work for a rifle to. Its very sturdy and you can set it up anywhere without needing any tools at all. You can use it sitting on a chair or standing and you always know your level with the built in bubble. When I'm shooting in my crossbow I don't even really have to touch the crossbow except for the trigger. This removes all the problems with human error in terms of shaking, pulling to early while shooting, breathing, leveling, ect.. Its a bit heavy but I purposely ordered their heavier model because I don't want any movement when shooting it in. They have lighter models that can chose from depending on what you are doing. The reason I mention this is because you wouldn't buy this one to carry out in the field with you with the intention of shooting from a ground blind or something. Its a bit too heavy to be out walking around with it. If you intend to carry it with you on long walks I would go with a lighter model.

One of the best I've tried.
Excellent for extremely long range shooting. Consistent 1 1/2 inch groups at 600+ yards. And very manageable in the field. My go to for elk and moose.

Tilt and pivot knob location.
I recently purchased the Bog Fieldpod Magnum, and I have to say, it's definitely heavier than I was expecting. However, after using it, I've come to appreciate that weight. It feels sturdy and reliable, which is a big plus for me when I'm out in the desert sending rounds down range. One feature I particularly like is how the legs do not lock in place. This might sound counterintuitive, but having that flexibility helps a lot when I need to quickly relocate it—it’s easy to grip and move around. That said, there are a couple of out-of-the-box downsides I want to mention.First, the tilt friction knob and the pivot lock knob are located pretty close to each other. I don't have the smallest hands, but I still find it a bit tricky to tighten them both down without fumbling around. However, If they built it, I can take it apart. So, I removed the locking nuts from the bottom and rotated the pivot lock knob to a functional position. The second issue, although it's not a huge problem, is that the tilt friction knob doesn’t quite tighten enough to support some of my heavier weapons. I’ve managed to work around that by counterbalancing the rails, which does the trick.Overall, I'm really happy with this unit and definitely wouldn’t think of returning it. It’s extremely well made and serves its purpose well.

Super solid, well put together piece of equipment.
I received my Tree Pod about a week ago. Simple assembly and once you're up in your tree stand, it's easily pulled up and assembled into stand. I'm a fairly big guy, so it's a little tricky getting into position to get the wing nuts onto bolts below platform, but not a major issue. Simply tightening them by hand with gloves on seemed to do the job and it's been sturdy and wonderful for a moveable gun rest.I will say the company needs to offer a Youtube setup tutorial, as I could only find an Unboxing video that didn't go over the details you run into once the unit is in place. For instance, when moving and adjusting the actual gun rest, (I'm using a muzzleloader), you'll find no directions on which is for the butt of the gun and the muzzle. I had it backwards, but it still was a super solid and smoothly swinging rest. You'll also find when articulating the arms for different angles, the gun rests, which stick out of the bottom of the main horizontal arm will hit base arm if not adjusted properly. It's not rocket science, but there are a myriad of adjustments with this incredible product, and I would think there would be better instructions to optimize comfort and accuracy.I finally figured placing the base as far forward, center in my stand was better off than offset shooting righty.Overall, I'm more confident than ever to take the longer shots now and love the Tree Pod.G.Morin -Dover, NH

Easily adjustable
Bout this for our 8 year old son. It is great for holding his shooting apparatus and easily adjustable. Folds up small enough to fit in a back pack.
