Fixed my Retropie Problem!
Initially I had used a different, 1-piece HDMI to DVI adapter to connect my Raspberry Pi to an older DVI monitor...It worked for a while then the monitor started flashing on & off while the Pi was on. In a last-ditch effort to get the setup working again I decided to try out this adapter. I used an old DVI cable to go from this adapter into the monitor & then plugged the HDMI end of the adapter into the Pi....Worked like a charm! no more flashing screen. I suspect that the other adapter was losing signal somewhere & it just wasn't outputting enough signal to keep the monitor on all the time. This adapter seems to have a very good build quality & so far is working great to run Retropie on that old monitor. This was money well-spent in my opinion!

I bought these to hook up dual monitors. They adapt perfectly with no issues. Would buy again.

Perfect! I have a 12 year old Apple monitor ...
Perfect! I have a 12 year old Apple monitor that I wanted to connect to a Raspberry Pi computer. The Pi has a standard HDMI port. The Apple monitor has a male DVI connecter. I needed a standard HDMI to female DVI connector. This short 6" cable worked perfectly. Connected everything and the Pi was live on the monitor. No problem. Cable seems well made and both connectors appear sturdy and fit perfectly. It is so nice when things work perfectly for what they were intended for. I ordered the 2-pack since I will be setting up another Pi and Apple monitor for my grandson to learn Linux and programming.

They work as designed - nothing special - other then I like Cable Matters stuff & they've always delivered a decent enough product - thus - these work first shot - no issues ... just like all the other Cable Matters products I've purchased over the years ...

Can fit multiple adapters side-by-side on cramped graphics card
The primary reason I got these was for a desktop that is being used as a video surveillance station. It has multiple graphics cards with HDMI ports that need to be connected to eight 24" computer monitors with DVI ports. The HDMI ports on the graphics cards are very close together, and I needed to find adapters that could fit side-by-side in such close proximity. These worked beautifully for our situation. The picture quality is excellent, and there were no issues getting the adapters to fit so close together.

Quality adapter
When ordering, I was nervous with respect to the quality because it seems, these days, that you never end up getting what you think you're getting when you make an online purchase. That said, I was very impressed with the quality of the adapter, the professional packaging, the flawless functionality and the "service after the sale." I would definitely look to Cable Matters for any future needs.
