Very comprehensive product
A great mandolin for the price. Bought for my wife who is very impressed with the product. Very high quality finish, with a very high spec carry bag. Lots of accessories in a separate zip case.Very good indeed.

Good value for money
The items arrived well packed , made in China , but then most things are ! If you have not played Mandolin before I recommend that you go online and view some basic lessons. Tuning up the instrument is tricky , the tuner that comes with the set works OK , but it helps if you listen to a tuned instrument from tutorials. When played acoustically , not amplified, it is more than loud enough so you do not need an amp for home use and practice, the sound if quite full and the tone is just fine. I can play guitar so this was easy to pick up - but the chord shapes are different on the mandolin, and the tuning is the same as a violin. Note that the strap supplied attaches to the neck above the head nut with a bootlace which is normal for an A line instrument but I will most probably change the fixing to a button behind the neck by the body. Generally a good buy for a first mandolin that will probably last for years if cared for .

Lovely piece of kit 👍
When received I tuned it up thanks to the handy instructions and tuner, I bought this as I fancied a change from playing guitar and I have to say it’s really nice, sounds really good and importantly it stays in tune 👍 comes with plectrums and strap and a really good fold out easy chord chart 👍 great for beginners 👍

Excellent value for money
I bought this on a whim and, for the price, I really was not expecting such a high quality product. The presentation is beautiful and the instrument sounds really pretty.I would highly recommend this for anyone starting out on mandolin. It pretty much comes with everything you need to get started. Absolutely fantastic product.

Good for price
Good value for an entry level instrument. The action needs sorting out, haven't had the time yet, but it has a lovely tone and the finish and hardware is of a decent quality.Certainly would recommend.

For musicians who want to challenge their brain cells
After playing a guitar for 50 years and being in a rock band, it was time to challenge my brain, so I bought this electric mandolin to learn at different instrument. The chords are different, as the tuning is 'upside down' from a guitar - the top ( skinny) string is the e, then a, d,g. Also the e is tuned to the 12th fret of a guitar, meaning that it feels that it could break when tightening it. I did it slow5ly and away from my face6. Imagine blowing up a balloon until you think it'll go bang. But, as you're provided with spare string, a tuner, please, strap, lead, mini chord book and gig bag, all for under £100, it has proved to be really well worth the money. Hasn't gone out of tune either. Recommended.

Do Not Buy - Even for a child. Don’t be fooled by these good reviews.
So I bought this thinking that this would be a reasonable priced introduction mandolin. I play the guitar and the violin so this seemed like something I should be able to pick up relatively easily as I know my way around the violin strings and the fret board on a guitar.DO NOT PURCHASE THIS.Little did I know a mandolin has a floating bridge, similar to a violin, but because of the frets it has to be balanced perfectly with the action (distance between the strings and the fret board if you look at it from the side) for the harmonics to align. This mandolin does not come set up. The action is waaay to high and needs a bridge adjustment to get it to a reasonable height - something a skilled luthier would have difficulty doing. But the bridge doesn’t come in the right place and so it’s super tricky balancing it in the right place.I’ve gone through three E strings so far (the one it came strung with and two that came as spares (thank goodness). Probably going to try and get a refund and go for something that comes set up by an experienced player. The tuner that it comes with is not great and I’m pretty sure it’s faulty because when I check it against my usual tuner the whole mandolin is noticeably sharp. If you do choose to buy this (because you have someone that can set the bridge and action) I’d suggest picking up some decent strings as the ones that come with it are okay for figuring your way around but not nice to play - I’d pick a flat wound if I was going to keep it.
