Excellent Product
The reason for this purchase is to vent the exhaust directly out a sound baffle box I am building for my Honda Eu2200i. I have a friend with a metal shop who did the welding and he had no problem attaching this for me. As others have reported compared to the hole in the cover it is off-center. This is not the fault of this product but the way Honda designed the cover. No matter, though, as it does not come near the cover or cause any issues because of the offset design. It worked perfectly. I bought 1 inch SCEET ducting from Aircraft Spruce for $4.75 per foot and it fit perfectly. I attached the ducting with a hose clamp and ran the generator for 3 hours with no issues as SCEET ducting is a silicone made for high heat applications. The ducting popped right off with no issues. The 1" ducting was a perfect fit.My metal guy said this was nicely machined and good quality and that it would outlast the muffler. This was the most affordable solution I could find and I'm very happy with this modification.

Good exhaust port, problem is attaching it.
I use this to attach an exhaust hose to an EU2000 to divert exhaust out of the boat. The port is fine, the problem is attaching it to existing exhaust. If you have it welded, it destroys the galvanization on the exhaust, and it rusted after 2-3 years. I bought a new exhaust and this time glue it on with JB weld, which worked for a while till the joint broke. I'll try re-gluing it and report if I have any luck.

Use A Skilled Welder
I used a local muffler shop to weld this to my EU2200i. No issues with open exhaust so far. Having to do a lot of research to find a quality extension choice. Looks like many poor quality options for pipe / tubing.

Does not attach
Getting a one star because it does not attach, it has to be welded. Like who the hell has a welder!

Must be TIG/heliarc welded due to thin muffler material - many muffler shops can't
You will have to go to a muffler shop that handles stainless and aluminum since they are the ones that TIG/heliarc weld. A top rated shop near me said they could not due this kind of welding and it was required due to the thin metal on the muffler. I found a shop that did two mufflers for $30 but I also had quotes of $180 due to a 2 hour minimum charge. The fitting had flash rust on it the day after welding so I would feel better if it was a true 304 series stainless piece (it is not). In the end I'm happy, but seller should be more transparent. Add a short piece of 1 inch ID silicone hose (typically turbo charger hose) to cover the stub end when you don't have the exhaust pipe connected. This will keep you from getting an instant burn bumping the hot exhaust pipe. Silicone turbo hose can be cut with heavy duty shear scissors or hack saw blade.
