Pleasantly surprised. A working project.
Took a chance on this kit, since the reviews were not so positive. The kit came with all the parts as shown but no instructions or clue of where or what to do next, for a beginner programmer or hobbyist, I was lost. When I went back to my product order did i notice at the bottom of the description a paragraph stating to reach out to KeeYees for support and ask for PDF document. I contacted KeeYees via Amazon since their web site doesn’t exist. With in a day they responded with email and PDF attachment. The PDF was at best good with a few misspelled words. Easy to follow. I had to update the code just a bit but I got it up and running. Cool.

2 out of 3 worked
The ESP8266 works fine. The display works fine. The DME280 does not work. I've spent HOURS checking and rechecking. Rewired several times. Moved to different location on the board. Ran a separate I2C scanner = NOTHING. The whole thing works, other than the sensor. If I block out the sensor code, the rest works. It goes to the internet, gets the weather and displays it - local time - current temp - 3 day forecast.

Great kit, but code changes couldn't be copied from the locked instruction file
Great kit! Also bought the other similarly priced kit that comes with 3 sensors and smaller display. This one is much better because of the larger OLED display and single sensor that read humidity, temperature, and atmospheric pressure. Also, the ESP8266 nodemcu is smaller which allowed me to put it into a smaller box. The price was a couple dollars less. Took a little more time to adapt the software, but the instructions were easy to follow. Definitely a good buy for $20.One drawback was that I had to type in the changes to the programming code manually, because the instructions PDF file was locked and I couldn't copy and paste from it. If it wasn't for this little problem, I would have given 5 stars.Supplier, please, unlock the instructions document. You'll sell more kits.

Not the best beginner project, but it works.
The Good:- It came with all the parts needed to make a mini weather station that can display the date/time, current temp, and 3-day forecast.- I didn't have to install any drivers to program it with the Arduino IDE on my MacBook Pro (macOS Catalina 10.15.5).- I got it to work. The Bad:- The temperature/humidity sensor comes with pins that need to be soldered to the board, so this is NOT a no-soldering required project.- You will have to hunt down the instructions and source code on their website.- If you want to it display the temperature in °F, you will have to modify the code yourself (the documentation that you can download from their website does not include any instructions about how to do it).- The current source code is only capable of displaying the low temperature for each day in the 3-day forecast (not the high temperature) - this might be okay for the winter, but is terrible for the summer!

Doesn't work
Used the provided instructions and found multiple mistakes in the code. Tried to email the seller for an updated code weeks ago. No response.
