This is a must buy for all babies! I absolutely am 100% satisfied with my purchase. I have been searching for "the perfect" play mat for my 8 month old. Well I have found the one. I cannot say enough good things about this mat. The mat is 70w x 56h. Perfect size, not too big and not too small. Right now I have it in my living room because that is where she spends the majority of her time, once she is older I will move it to her play room. It is also the perfect thickness. When my baby falls over she is okay, it is nice and soft. My husband and I even lay on it with her sometimes. Being made out of foam is not only great for the cushion, but also for cleaning. It is very easy to clean or wipe up any spit up or spill. I also love that Skip Hop thought to make it where you can make several different patterns. How neat is that? When we get tired of one pattern, we can change it up! A few people complained about the smell. I didn't find it had a strong smell. After being out for about 30 minutes, we never smelt it again!I highly recommend this product!

This is the 3rd time we've purchased this item. We love being able to lay on the floor on it along with our son while he's playing. It's well padded and holds up well. It's easy to assemble and move around as our space has changed. It's also a good neutral so it works with our decor as best as a foam mat can!

When our little one stared crawling & pulling to stand, we realized our thin rug / carpet pad over our hardwood floors wasn’t going to cut it anymore. All the tumbles she taking were a bit rough. We looked into the ridiculously expensive interlocking mats, but just couldn’t justify the price paid as she would conquer crawling, standing & eventually walking within a few months & the mats wouldn’t be as much of a necessity. Not only are these Skip Hop mats well priced, they’re extremely versatile in the design, match our decor perfectly & definitely soften the blow of falling compared to our other rug! They’re SO easy to clean (wet & dry spills) and have held up to numerous beatings over the last couple weeks we’ve had them! We ordered two sets and were able to achieve (roughly) a 10x8 “area rug” with having a few pieces & many edge pieces left over! We’re thrilled with our purchase!!

We love this mat. It did have a slight smell when we opened it but was not terrible and it dissipated after airing out about 48 hours. It did not give me a headache like a previous mat we bought and had to take back due to the smell. It is soft enough for me to crawl around on my knees to play with my son ( we have wood floors and they kill my knees) but it is still firm so if he topples over he still needs to have his head protected from hitting the mat (5 months old). Easy to clean, perfect size, neutral colors are better than the bright primary colors so it looks good in our living room. Stays together well, no problems with edge pieces.

When we decided to create a playroom for our 6 month old in our combined living/dining room area, I was determined to find a play mat that was functional, but would not draw too much attention to it being a play area. This mat fits in perfectly with our decor without clashing. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is it is not as cushioned or padded as I would like. We have this over a tile floor and it is not thick enough for my daughter to lay on it alone. We always put down a separate play mat or blanket when we lay her down. Also, if you have pets (particularly large dogs) I would recommend keeping them far away from this mat. My dogs have managed to leave nail prints and claw marks all over it! All in all I am happy with this mat based on its appearance and function, but wish it was made a little thicker, especially based on the price.

SkipHop to rescue! It’s also impossible to find a mat that is 5x7” to fit the space between the sliding French doors that divide the living and dining room in our ancient apartment unit. This one is very close, just shy of those dimensions on both sides.We bought 2 other puzzle mats from no-name overseas sellers on Amazon and were very frustrated at how thin they were and how off the dimensions were from mass manufacturing. Most mats are 4x6” and they were easily 1-2 inches shorter and even thinner when measured. We were so glad to get the SkipHop mat and find the dimensions were accurate and the mats were thicker than 1”.I also love the different pattern options for assembly. So fun!

I’m so glad skip hop makes this I was having such a hard time finding something I could trust. It looks great and doesn’t have a chemical smell to it. Very easy to put together and clean up after use.

We love our mat! Our play area is next to our living room and very visible. So glad to have a neutral playmat that works with both our son's and daughter's colorful toys and matches their decor and ours. The foam is also sturdy enough to support our larger frames when we play with the kids. It is perfect for our knees as we get up and down after playing on the floor. My only regret is not getting it at least a year or two sooner.Tip: Definitely stay on top of the cleaning. We got lax and the softer side of the mat got stained. So we flipped it over and now pass the mop over it at least weekly and it looks new.
