Good flavor

As we did not open these particular items and eat them, yet, I cannot comment on these particular jars. But we have had them in the past and they are terrific. They came in one piece and promptly received by us. As they are in glass jars it was important to package them properly, which they were.

The taste was just right. Not too sweet. It was just like eating cherries on toast. If you love cherries, you will love this.

I use to buy this in our local grocery store. They discontinued the item. I was introduced to this brand of preserves in New Orleans at a hotel restaurant many many years ago. Been a big fan ever since.

Apart from the minor detail that what I ordered (Hero Premium spread) was not what delivered, this was perfect. For the unwary, Hero Black Cherry spread is made under licence in Spain and is quite different from the Premium Spread, which is made in Germany by Hero. I did try to contact the seller after I ordered to double check that I would get what I wanted and saw advertized, but was told by them that it was being "fullfiled by Amazon" which seems to be the generic excuse.

I use the black cherry spread to cover my ham as a glaze, The family loves it.

This item came wrapped in bubble wrap but with way too much play in the box that contained it. So the jars were broken and every attempt to get it corrected it is a ride on the Amazon merry-go-round. You go around and around but never get anywhere. Buyers beware. Not everything you spend your money on comes as expected and you have no recourse for correction. Poor policy, poor business. Very disappointed in my experience.

Hero is a favorite brand (I need jam without corn syrup), and it's delicious.
