Game-Changer for Nespresso Lovers Who Want Less Waste and More Control
I was a little skeptical about trying reusable pods with my Nespresso VertuoPlus, but these RECAFIMIL stainless steel refillable capsules really impressed me. The build quality is excellent—solid stainless steel that feels durable and well-made, not flimsy like some other options out there. It took a little trial and error to get the grind and tamp just right (medium-fine worked best for me), but once I found the sweet spot, the results were great: rich crema, smooth taste, and full-bodied flavor—almost indistinguishable from the original pods.Cleaning is easy, and I love that I can use my favorite coffee blends now without tossing a pod every time. It’s better for the planet and much more affordable in the long run.

Ejecting is the only thing this does right
I bought this pod and a similar one from another brand name. Both were identical so I'm assuming that they all come from the same place in China. The actual quality is impressive but that is a s far as it goes. Loading the pod is easy, Ieven bought a tamper to help. However the amount of actual liquid coffee that came out was just a dribble. I tried different grinds, different amounts of grounds, still all that came out was about a tablespoon of liquid. the actual stainless steel pod is about the size of the Alto (14 fl. oz) but what comes out is substantially less that the Nespresso Espresso pod (1.35 floz). I was lucky to get half that in many attempts. The machine gets the level from the codes on the rim of the pods. Both of these stainless pods (different venters) use the code for Mug (7.7 fl oz). The only thing I can think that could improve is the sharpness of the code lines. The Nespresso pod code is very distinct (and in black) whereas the stainless had some smudging along the code lines (and was in brown). I used lens cleaner to reduce the smudging and sharpen the lines and it worked a little bit. I was able to get roughly 1.7 fl oz from the stainless pods. With regular pods you can simply push the button and continue filling your cup. With the stainless the machine stopped after the button was pushed. But as the title says, the ejection process was just as good with the stainless as with the pods.

How to Use this Accessory to Get Your Espresso Right.
Works great - however, to get it right you have to go through trial and error. Follow these directions and you'll have nice espresso. First, I am not sure if it works with all Nespresso machines. We use it with the Vertuo Plus. Two, do not throw out the little whitish rings that come with the accessory - those are replacement gaskets. Third, this accessory is for a double espresso. Fourth, you need really fine ground. How fine you ask? Well, our regular coffee is Cafe' Bustelo (use whatever coffee you like) which is already an espresso ground - we put that in a coffee grinder and grind that until it becomes close to a powder. Fifth, fill up the holder and tap down with finger - you can experiment with this to get the strength you like. Put a little divit (depression) in the coffee for the center cylinder that's part of the top. Sixth, after you are done with the accessory it has to cool down - it's metal. That's it - hope this helps - enjoy!

Not great
It looks good. However, if you're looking for coffee that tastes like a genuine Nespresso vertuo pod this is not for you.The coffee sits in the bottom of the capsule, the water is pumped in from the top and is forced out of small holes around the edge of the top. All very nice, but because the coffee is not ground and measured specifically for the pod the coffee tastes like low grade diner coffee served near closing time. No matter what coffee is used it tastes the same. There may be something I'm missing, there are 2 plastic cups the same shape as the bottom of the capsule, but they are too small to sit the capsule in and can't replace the bottom of it because there is no way to attach them so I have no idea what theyte supposed to be for.The instructions are pointless, they don't list the parts or give a clue what the cups are for. It also comes with stickers, no idea why.Save time and frustration, just spend the money on genuine pods.

Great Reusable Pod When Used Properly
I was wary of this pod after seeing all of the negative reviews, but after a few trial and error runs it seems to be a winner provided that it is used correctly. Here are some things I figured out that allowed this pod to work well for us.1. It brews an espresso sized coffee rather than a full sized coffee. To brew a full sized cup you have to add hot water to your cup first, then brew the espresso into it.2. You have to use a super fine espresso grind of coffee. We had hoped you could use any type of ground coffee, but that is not the case. We tried 2-3 brands and Illy is the only one that worked well. We tried with less fine grounds and that was when we had the weak, light brown water many reviews complained about. The Illy espresso grounds make a beautiful and great tasting espresso with a nice crema on top.3. The pod gets VERY hot, so you want to make sure to let it cool before removing it to clean it. Not the most user friendly for making multiple espressos at one time, but overall not a huge issue.

Not what I had hoped for :(
Only makes a cup of watered down espresso I followed directions it makes such a small amount. I’d love for this to work and not have to return it please respond so I can fix this and get a nespresso pods worth of espresso out of it. Also I don’t have time to return it so doing that is annoying and also I need coffee so help me get this working!

Perfect Pod
This stainless steel pod is perfect. I am positively thrilled to have a viable solution to aluminum pods. It pulls a perfect shot every time. The key: use 'espresso' Ground coffee, i.e. the finest grind you can find/get. This missing element is why some reviews talk about a watery "pull" in their pods. This pod is a perfect design; I use espresso ground - extra fine - coffee every time and I've never had an issue; and I bought my first "trial pod" 6 months ago. Great product! I'm about to buy several more.
