Fanimation Arden Pedestal Indoor Fan - Oil-Rubbed Bronze

I REALLY wanted to like this fan. But I don't.First....its small. Pay attention to the dimensions and have your expectations low about size.Second...its pretty cheaply made. For the price, I expected something of higher quality. But, its just an over-priced design made to maximize profit margins for people looking for a specific look. The price does NOT properly reflect build quality or air movement (size of fan).Third...it is incredibly noisy. It didn't start out that way, but it became that way....right before the motor went out completely. Less than 2 months after i bought it. The replacement came and it was incredibly noisy right out of the box. I have little reason to believe its not half way dead as it is.As much as I wanted to love this thing and yell my recommendation from the roof tops, i simply can't. The only thing i can yell from the roof tops is "SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND DON'T BUY THIS FAN!" Sorry. It really does pain me to leave this review.

Bought this fan because I was tired of replacing cheaper fans on a regular basis (every year or two). The fan feels solid, was easy to setup, and looks great. One problem... after only a month a rattle started with the motor that steadily grew louder over time until it was keeping me up at night. Based on a general decline in customer service at most companies, I had low expectations and was expecting a hassle with the return to get it fixed. When I called the manufacturer and spoke with a technician, though, they surprised me by shipping a replacement motor the same day after just a few questions about the problem. I was very impressed with the attitude and helpfulness, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another product from this company based on this experience.

The fan was listed as a used item for under $150. When it came, it appeared to be brand new, though in a box that had been opened. The parts were all in the original plastic.The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is not a very powerful fan. If you need a fan that moves a lot air, this isn't it. But if you want a good looking fan that you can leave out in your living room for those times when you want some air blown directly at you, then you will like this fan. For me, it was an excellent purchase.

Well, just assembled the legs for the tripod only to stand up the fan and see that it's not outfitted with a standard US plug as listed in the description. Gotta take it all apart now. This is a first for me. What aggravation.

I bought an open-boxed version of this fan (through a company called "Warehouse Deals"). The box was not opened, everything was in their original wrapping, packaged very nicely. I set it up and used it for about 3 weeks. It was amazing for that 3 weeks. It then started to squeak, and they to grind really badly. The motor was going out. Since it has a lifetime warranty, I contacted Fanimation. They claim that "Warehouse Deals" is not a Fanimation dealer and therefore could not warranty the fan. Luckily it died within the first month so I was able to return it to Amazon without much hassle, but was very annoyed that spending a lot of money on a quality fan was a total bust. I'm not sure if "Warehouse Deals" is selling fakes, or if Fanimation dumps their castoffs to other companies to sell, but was I not pleased.

Fan is extremely well built. It is much smaller than what you would expect. The fan itself is no larger than a table top fan. The height is about 4 feet. Perfect size to stick in front of an open window.It does NOT make much noise. So those of you looking for a sleeping fan, this may not be the best choice.

This fan is sturdy feeling and looks nice with the bronze fan and wooden legs tho the tripod base uses a lot of floor space. The motor is quiet and puts out plenty of air, but the fan is much shorter than it looks in the picture and the top doesn't tilt. I could deal with the height, but really, for that price I can't believe it doesn't tilt.

This is a nice looking quality fan. Virtually no fan noise. Oscillates beautifully. The one thing I would caution about is that this fan is quite small! It is a little over waist high. Great for a compact spot but much smaller than I expected. I paid 130.00 for it so I'm quite happy but if I'd paid 379.00 I'd be disappointed.
