Great style for torx screws in any 1911 with thin/slimline grips. Worked for my Coonan 1911 357 Magnum
Background1911s in full size and commander size are the same grip size. The only caveat is if you have a bobtail which is an angular cutout on the bottom of the grip. Even with a large frame Coonan 357 Magnum 1911, my pistol uses the full sized grips, screws and bushings.Caveats about changing bushingsIf you use thin grips. You need thin or slimline grip screws and slimline/thin bushings. If you decide to remove your bushings, USE A SPECIALIZED TOOL. Otherwise you will strip the bushings since they are extremely soft. I messed up and used a screwdriver so I wanted to share my bonehead experience. I stripped all of the bushings except one. The make used RED Loktite which made the bushings very hard to remove with a screwdriver. Sure I could have used a torch to melt the Loktite, and sure, I could have checked YouTube before I even tried to remove my bushings. But, I am guy who just jumps in.If you did what I did already, and you stripped your bushings, then don't freak out. I simply placed a heat treated torx bit that was actually a size too big to fit through the bushing. I used a brass hammer and gently tapped the bit into the bushing to ensure the bit was seated. Then I attached a handle to my bit and hand turned the bit removing the stripped bushings one by one. The bit will be stuck in the bushing, and since the forged/heat treated but will be harder than the bushing, it will not be damaged. If you inadvertently strip the threading on the frame, you'll need a larger mouthed bushing or have to get a gunsmith to create threads for you.The reviewThese are really stylish bushings that takes the boredom of conventional screws or plain orx screws for your 1911. These are only the screws. You will need the bushings designed for thin grips. The coating is nice and it blends with my grips. Love the pattern.I installed these on my Coonan 1911 357 Magnum. Pictures are included, as installed.

Get a grip!
I own a Kimber Custom Competition .45. Upon cleaning my firearm, the screws and bushings cracked when removing. Apparently the metal was not tempered enough or became brittle over the years. I'm the type that basically likes function and not much flash. When I saw the torx screws with the accent drill marks I thought that a little subtle flash would be good as I frequent the range often. Service was fast and pricing was great. I would recommend this product for anyone that doesn't want to "overdo" the dress on an already nice looking firearm.

superb grip screws
perfect fit and finish, couldn't have asked for better. well cut threads. they go perfectly with their matching grip screw bushings, and look fantastic on my TRP Operator Full Rail. The only suggestion I have would be to include rubber O-rings with the screws to keep out moisture and secure a TIGHT fit.

Junk screws, do not buy.
I also had the head break off one of my screws after installation. That shouldn't have happened with real stainless steel, I suspect these are made from pot metal. As a result, I now have a grip panel I cannot get off, or must now spend extra to have the broken screw removed. The only reason these get even one star is because they do look nice... assuming they don't break.Between these screws breaking, and a brand new Strike charging handle that broke during a carbine class, I will never buy another Strike Industries product again. There's a reason Strike stuff is cheap, and that's because it's junk.

These have a nice flashy top
I don't really know what to write in a review for screws. They are for slim grips, so make sure you have slim grip bushings as well otherwise they won't fit right. That is on you. These have a nice flashy top, makes my EMP look a little more expensive. I was trying to find a set of screws that were flush with slim grips, but these are still indented a bit. Better than any other screw I've tried though. I'll probably pick up another set later.

Functional.
The black finish wears quickly.

A nice little upgrade!
Great, dropped right into my Full Size Rock Island 1911, held my after market punisher grips down no problem, sturdy, quality, cool looking, good price, all I could ask!

Look great and like the Torx!
Due to a lot of shooting and cleaning at the range one of Wilson Combat Hex screws seized to my grip.I had to ruin it to get it off the grip and it was about time for some new ones after 8 years I guess. These Torx screws fit great and look just as good on my .45 Colt.
