It was a fun and worthwhile experience
The meals were a joy to open and prepare. Its not a gourmet meal of course but still very decent tasting and had good variety. The exception was the creamy spinach fettuccine, it was as bland and tasteless as steve1989mreinfo said it would be. The best item in the entire box was the maple muffin top. Every bag was fun and exciting to open and had this unboxing feel to it. 2 of the 4 flameless ration heaters I got did not heat up correctly, I thoroughly soaked and even tried salting it the heater packet but it just didn't activate. Shawna from Atom Promotions, LLC quickly replied and sent me replacement FRHs! I am amazed and very pleased by the customer support.

It is what it says!
They arrived by fedex in a bubble envelope. Everything looked fine, sealed,... I was happy. I chose the cheese tortellini first because it seemed like my least favorite of the 4, get that out of the way. It was good! Came with the cutest bottle of Tobasco sauce I ever saw and yes it was needed. The second one I opened (this is not the seller's fault) had a bag of twizzlers that opened up on the inside package. Not a big loss but Sopako should know better. The FRH almost kind of in a way got the entree and mashed potatoes above room temperature. They tasted good after I put them in the microwave.2 more to go and I see the seller only sent what looked right. Props to the seller! Sopakco and the US military should do better for those folks out in the field. There are better FRH's available right now. Why would you put a gas station package of Twizzlers in the bag? What else did they mess up?

4 MREs for $55
So you know you are buying 4 MREs for $55?I remember getting 12 MREs for about the same price 8 years ago. Hard to rotate stock at these prices. Is it worth it?The shipping was fast. The meal packs are intact and dates match.Heaters work.Meals taste good.Sticker shock is common when buying MREs. Even 8 years ago. But when you are hungry, you won't care. You can go cheaper. In which I have but paid the price. Pun intended.I would buy again before prices sore next year.

some missing heating element
I received the Mres to test durability. Two bags were missing the heating element a pain since it was kinda another reason I bought them. I will admit the taste of the Asian-style beef and vegetables was decent. I can't tell you about the others as I haven't had a chance to eat them and I refuse to eat them cold. I simply have the worst luck...ever. I'm reporting this a year later...when I opened them finally. I'm glad I found out now and not after I had some emergency where I couldn't get to ready heat.

Great for an emergency!
I bought these for our "go bags" that we have prepped in case of an emergency. They pack the nutrients you need in a small package. They are pretty well assorted when it comes to menu. Bear in mind, not all of them include a warmer. I highly recommend this for emergencies or for camping, hiking, etc.

Mostly faulty/damaged items. Wouldn't recommend this seller. Sad wasted money.
Multiple problems between the 4 MREs. Only 1 didn't have any issues out of all 4. One had a faulty zip on the protein shake and exploded literally everywhere on first or second shake, nightmare. Then there was a hole in the beverage bag, wasted coffee too! Then the others had bigger problems like defective heating bags, which was extremely dissapointing to spend so much and have so many issues. Of course how can you return these items once you've opened and attempted consumption just to be let down with either a failure or a total disastrous mess, so just out of the money. But I will say that what was edible and worked and was sealed properly etc. My husband did get to enjoy. But its just such a risk to spend so much and have half or more be defective. I'd probably suggest another seller honestly. Seems to be no fix for this sad money down the drain (nor the immense mess the faulted items created ugh). Then thought we'd give them a second chance and first one we pulled out of terrible packaging (a bag type not even a box and extremely dirty!) The first one we pulled out, was literally busted open with the spoon sticking right out. So have no idea how these are going to go. Not so optimistic. But my husband wanted to try again as he's always loved MREs. But I'm getting tired of this wasted money and no recourse because you don't get to see most of the defects unless you actually open and start making the product. So then how do you return your leaking/exploded/non-working heating element/busted packaged individual pieces? You can't. I do wish they'd credit or send out replacements for the damaged ones at least, then we'd continue buying from them. As of now, I don't think I'll ever buy from this seller again, yes they may be a bit less expensive but I guess as the saying goes, you get what you pay for ><. Not that they're even inexpensive in the slightest. Just dissapointing.
