Works brilliantly – drained my hot tub in no time!
I used the Veaton portable water pump to drain my Lay‑Z‑Spa, and it worked perfectly. Setup was really simple, and it started pumping water out almost instantly. It drained the whole tub much faster than I expected — a huge time-saver compared to doing it manually or waiting for gravity to do the job!The pump is compact but powerful, and it comes with everything you need (including hose and attachments). It handled the hot tub water with no issues at all.If you’ve got a hot tub and want a quick and easy way to drain it, I highly recommend this pump. It’s well worth the money and does exactly what it says.

Best buy!
Excellent! Easy to use. Does what it says. Love it because my watering days are so much easier now when watering my garden, and not having to lug about a full watering can, which is a chore.

Failed on third use - but swiftly replaced and now very happy!
I liked this pump very much. Worked perfectly for my needs - essentially pumping from water-butt to rose bed etc.But on the third use it failed. Just nothing. No hints, just dead. I’m not sure how much water I could have bought for £53, but I suspect it’s a lot. I now have to use the garden tap again, and then find some other way of pumping from the butt. I can’t afford to replace this item. Very very very disappointed. And when I checked the invoice - it was shipped from China, so there is nothing I can do for warranty. Avoid.Since that review, the supplier sent me a new pump free of charge, and this has worked perfectly. It was such a good service from them, that I now regret my negative comments above. There was no request to return the faulty one, and the replacement arrived VERY quickly. I must have just had one rogue unit, which has now been replaced. I’m very pleased.

5 star pump
Brilliant item. Much more powerful than my old 'branded' one. It's great that it cuts off when the barrel is empty, the height of cut off can be easily adjusted. My old pump burnt out because I forgot it was on and the barrel was empty.Highly recommend this product.

Great sump pump
Only used once but so far great. Looks sturdy and pumps well. I'm using to clean koi pond filters. I like the fact it virtually empties all water before cutting out and the starts up again as water rises. Better than the version I had before with the external float switch. So far really impressed

Poles wouldn’t fit together due to wrong connector in the box
Having to send this straight back today after receiving it yesterday. Couldn’t build the poles as one of the connectors wouldn’t fit anything! Totally useless. Even went to a hardware store to try and buy an alternative connector to join the extension poles together but the guy in the shop said absolutely nothing will fit it as it’s clearly been packed with the wrong piece. He really tried hard to find an alternative connector so I didn’t have to send it back but nothing would fit. Bought this specifically to go in my water butt so I could hook it over to attach a hose with ease. Having to send it back now for a refund without even an option to replace. Was looking forward to using it at the weekend. Gutted. It looks like a good pump too other than the poles not fitting together.

More power would be better.
Tried this first with just the normal hosepipe. No problem getting the water through but not as powerful as it would be connected to the normal outside tap. Good enough though if you are just watering plants. Connected it up to the pressure washer and it was fine. So, overall, I guess it does what it says on the tin but is lacking a bit in power. But at 350 Watts, probably to be expected.

Worth the money
I had previously purchased a pump from another manufacture which was useless as pump and I had returned it. I was drawn to this pump as an alternative replacement, because of the built in float/sensor switch. There are two options for taking the outlet pipe from the pump, straight and right-angle which makes it very versatile. There is a none return value in the outlet, that you can take out to clean, ideal for dirty water pumping.I did give up on my lay flat discharge hose and used a 32mm ridged hose instead. The pump dose work fine with both but the lay flat hose would kink every now and then stopping the flow, which is not ideal for unattended pumping. We wanted to pump the water out of a French drain we were putting into the trench of foundations for out extension while we are digging. The trench bottom is about 50mm below the current water table. We put a chamber (inspection chamber riser) in 200mm below the trench level. Put Geocloth at the bottom and then 50mm of gravel which the inspection chamber sat on top of. Back filled the hole on the outside of the chamber riser higher than the trench level with gravel. We then dug the foundation trench with a very tiny slope towards the chamber. The result is the trench is dry with water running down to the chamber. When the chamber fills up, the pumps built-in switch turn the pump on. The result is a dry trench below the water table. This is a real good pump and although not the cheapest, from my experience it was worth the additional cost from a cheaper model.
