A must have for chickens and poultry
Rooster booster is one of those must have items in your poultry first aid kit. If you have a chicken or a duck or any other kind of poultry that need a little bit of a pick me up, especially when it’s warm out or if it’s been overly rainy and your birds don’t feel very well. You give them a little rooster booster and it helps to make them feel better and it also helps too. Make them lay more eggs. I have over 100 chickens and I always have this on hand. It’s very easy to use. It’s very inexpensive and it’s very easy to administer it to your birds.

Great supplement to keep in your first aid kit
I have a chick with wry neck and was told to get some poultry cell to treat the chick. I've dealt with a lot of problems in chickens over the years but I'd never had a case of wry neck this severe. I couldn't find any poultry cell locally (live in an extremely rural area) so I ordered this here on Amazon. Progress was extremely slow and I was starting to give up, but I joined a special needs chicken group on Facebook and got tons of helpful advice. Two of the people that run the page are a vet tech and animal nutrition expert so I trust them over some random people on a forum.I was told to discontinue the use of poultry cell for treating wry neck because in order to give the chicks a dose with enough vit e and selenium in it to effectively treat the wry neck, they will be getting too much iron. I was told "poultry cell has too much iron to treat anything but anemia." Now, that's not knocking this product at all, as a general supplement at or below the recommended dose for a short window, it's great, and if you have mites or lice, you need this product in your arsenal for sure. It definitely has its uses. I just wouldn't use it on a regular basis, only for a short period of time. But if you're ordering this to treat wry neck, I'd still order it to have on hand, but not for wry neck treatment specifically.I will be keeping this in my poultry first aid kit as a valuable supplement along with my all time go-to nutridrench, as well as the vit e and selenium gel (made for goats) I got for the wry neck treatment. I have a number of vitamin and mineral supplements and they all serve their purposes, it never hurts to have a variety on hand. With all of that being said, this stuff actually smells pretty good for a poultry supplement, as opposed to the ND which doesn't have a very appealing aroma. I think poultry cell is much more palatable. As I said, each supplement has its uses and place in your first aid kit. I did notice some improvement while my chick was on the poultry cell but his poop was black indicating too much iron.I don't show birds, I just have a flock for eggs and my own enjoyment, so I can't speak to any benefits for that aspect of its use. But I now have this huge bottle of it for any instances I may need it in the future. I'm sure there will be something that comes along, we all know that chickens actively try to find new ways to injure their selves or delete their subscription to existence on a daily basis, and if they aren't, something else is! Oh the joys of being a chicken tender lol.

A go-to supplement - just wish it were cleaner
Like most poultry keepers, we keep this on hand because everyone recommends it. We add a dose to the water once a month or during heat stress, and it seems to help. It's easy to use and the big bottle offers good value - especially when you're caring for 70 birds. That said, I was disappointed to see artificial ingredients listed. I’d prefer a cleaner formula, but until something better comes along, this stays in rotation.Good for health support, easy to use, and cost-effective - but not perfect.

For more and bigger eggs.
I pour about an ounce of this in a pint of hot water and then pour it over 2 pints of ordinary feed. My hens love it, and I think the extra food results in more and bigger eggs. I've re-bought this and intend to continue using it.

It saved our hen’s life
We adopted a sick hen who was severely anemic due to lice infestation. She had no color in her face or comb, lethargic, barely able to scratch for food. I soaked the liquid in bread and popped in her mouth daily. I believe our beautiful Guinevere would have died in a week if I had not started to give her the iron blend. Stopping the infestation was an immediate action but she also needed immediate iron. We got her in March and I am still giving her the iron blend but I add it to her water. This product saved her life and I am very grateful 🙏🏼 I have attached before and after as well as pictures of the lice eggs.
