was worried for the money if this was going to be good quality, but its exactly what i needed. old one kept ripping out of the spring/breaking in heavy winds, but this one is much thicker and nicer.

Headline says it all. I knew how to install this, including the quick disconnect feature. Many novices won't know how. Pretty much a product for the pros, though it's simple enough.

We have a storage unit door that used to FLY open with any wind. Husband adjusted length and attached this in a few minutes. Works like dream. No more flinging doors. You will need power tools to install.

This is on my sunroom door because we get big winds here and I needed it so the doorknywould not go through my window if the wind caught the door.

I bought this chain because high winds in my area keep destroying my storm door cylinders. Several answered questions in the review said that the chain came with hardware. Not only did it not come with any screws or other hardware, there were no instructions on installation. Not worth the hassle when you can buy a kit at the box store for much less than this chain costs. Also, I have serious doubts based on other reviews that the chain would remain attached to my storm door - only as strong as the screws holding it into the thin sheet metal frame. I will return it.
