The Company does not honor its warranty policy or reply to warranty request.
The Company will not honor its warranty. I tried calling their company support number multiple times and sent multiple emails regarding my broken Chess Board. The call goes straight to voice mail after answering hello and then hanging up. My board operated correctly for around two months and then the pieces would move randomly. At first, they answered my emails, and they kept requesting video of the problem which I sent multiple times and then finally I received an email saying that they would replace my board if I sent back the board in its original condition with all of the pieces, which I did. I sent everything back and kept copies of the shipping receipt, the tracking receipt, proof of delivery and the proof of purchase. Since then, I sent over 20 emails requesting a response regarding my board, but all have been ignored. It's been approximately 4 months since I sent the board back. In addition, over two years ago Square Off started a Kickstarter for two auto chess boards called the Swap and Neo. For two years, the company has given countless false delivery estimates then, they suddenly announced a new computer called The Pro. It appears they took the one million + from the Kickstarter and rather than use it to fulfill existing two year old orders, they abandoned thousands of customers and went for the quick Christmas season dollar. In addition, one of the computers in the Kickstarter, the Neo is no longer listed on their website. Most alarming of all is Square Off had totally ceased all communications except for endless spam. Emails, text messages and support tickets are ignored. Finally there are many reports of their existing products being highly unreliable and people having a nightmare time dealing with their non-existent customer support. it appears the thousands of people who gave square off our money over 2 years ago have no resource to get this back. Beware when dealing with this company.

Absolutely amazing!
Got this during the sale period for $375. Totally worth it even at $399. When it's over $400, you might want to wait for a sale.Remember to remove the lock screw at the bottom of the board before you turn it on!!! If you leave the screw there, the motor will grind out and you'll ruin it!I was playing at level 3 to test it and it made stupid moves. That's okay, because it's trying to play a game at a lower level and sometimes it has to spot you pieces to do that. I'm playing at level 4 now and it gives me good games. I'm winning though, so I think I'm a level 5 player. It stopped making dumb moves at level 4. At least, I don't see it making dumb moves, but that's probably because I'M making dumb moves. LOL.It's really fun to play against the AI. I'm not interested in challenging people online so it does exactly what I need it to do.It doesn't have a users manual and I wish it did. It comes with a single sheet that tells you how to get started, but that's all. I'd like to know if it can allow you to take back a move. If so, how? It can be set up in a specific starting position, but how? Can it do chess puzzles with me? How? Does it have a training mode? How do you set that up? I'd like a walk through please. The board moves faster than I expected. It's very smooth. You have to keep the pieces centered in their squares or sometimes a piece leaving the board will snag and drag another piece because they're based with magnets.Overall it's amazing. Like playing against a real person. I've had it a week and it's been a good friend since I'm alone for the rest of the month.I highly recommend this.
