Plugra European-Style Butter - Salted (8 ounce)

Bought this butter for Xmas cookies. I could find it at one grocery store but stopped carrying it. Yay for Amazon!

Great Butter! Everything is better with European Style Butter!

We could purchase this wonderful butter in Florida but it’s not sold in Iowa, that we have found yet… so, came here and now we are “butter happy” once again. Give it a try and you will start looking for it all over your town!

As someone who loves to cook and adheres to French technique this is the best butter for its fat content and higher burn point. The Irish butters and 99% of the other higher butterfat content butters in the US don't compare. Safeway used to carrry it here, but it is harder to get now.

Plugra is my all time favorite butter, and very hard to find in local groceries these days. I decided to take a chance on ordering it online. I have received one refrigerator item in the past through Amazon that came by next day delivery with a cold pack and was fine.This butter ... was not fine. I am astonished that someone thought it would be a good idea to ship butter by multi-day transport through the USPS without even marking the box as "Perishable." Sure it had a freezer pack in it. A nice, warm, floppy, liquid filled freezer pack, along with butter-coated packing peanuts. All straight into the trash can, and now I get to figure out how to demand a refund.Edit: I contacted Parthenon Foods (the seller) through Amazon to explain the issue. They did respond quickly, but the gist was "you ordered standard shipping, our policy is you should use expedited shipping for perishables, so no refund for you." Problem: Nowhere on this page or in the checkout cart is that policy stated or linked to that I can spot, and the *only* shipping option provided is standard. If they know their product will be ruined by standard shipping, they should not even make that an option. Given the massive discount on the butter (down to under 8 bucks a piece), maybe they were just trying to offload surplus ... but it's very shady. Amazon says they've required Parthenon to refund me, we'll see if they do.
