Dalmatia Spread Fig, 8.5 oz

After ordering it I found it at my local grocery store for over $2 less.

My husband grew up in Georgia where they had their own fig trees and made their own jam. Now he's in Iowa with me, but no figs. He LOVES these!! So does the Corgi!

Goes great with scones, waffles, pancakes, cheeses, almost anything and a versatile jam to have handy while cooking any dish or cuisine.

I needed to take an appetizer for a holiday party. I wanted something simple, yet delicious.I decided to bake Brie Cheese, wrap in in a dough & top it off with this yummy Spread.It's been years since I had anything with a Fig, but, decided to give it a try.I can't tell you how many times I have made this since that party. It is so simple yet, so tasty.I wouldn't forget how simple it is to prepare. This is my "Go To Party Dish".

If you like figs you'll enjoy this spread. It is pretty sweet so I spread it on toast a bit thinner than jams. If you put too much on toast the sweetness of the cane sugar can overpower the taste of the figs, but a thinner layer allows the taste of the figs to comes through. Personally, I think this product could do with a bit less sugar. Of course, each of us have our own particular tastes and you may find the sweetness just fine. If so use a heavier layer and enjoy!

I'm a fan of figs, but this specific brand has it all going for it: A beautifully-designed container (which could be easily gifted), a not-too-overwhelmingly sweet taste, and an easy spreadability. I'm on my second jar in a matter of a month. Now I need to figure out what cool thing to do with the jars!

I am eating the figs spread on buttered toast as I write this-and being a fig lover, I did try other brands here- all good, but this is the BEST!!!! It is quite sweet but I like sweetness. I am going to make some small baked turn-overs filled with it, as well, next week , if the jar lasts that long!!!!!
