Gets the job done
When it came in the mail the pieces were all accounted for and it great condition. The instructions don't make assembly easy to understand. It looks self explanatory, but if you've never handled one before you might think that you're putting it on wrong.I like the flexibility of the stand. It's firm, but I can mold it's legs onto a lot of surfaces. If you're creative enough you can really place this anywhere. Fridge handles, trees, bed posts, lamps, fences, poles, anything it can "octopus" itself around and you're set.It worked great for my iPhone 6 plus, but once I got my 8 plus, even with the case off it got too big so now I have to get another one. I'm still going to keep it because I would like to use it for my digital camera. The quality feels kind of cheap like it's going to break if you're not careful with it, but I've pulled the legs too and fro and they're still standing. (No pun intended, hahaha)I wish it were a bit taller sometimes so I wouldn't recommend this if you need a tall one for whole body shots, but if you're just doing something on a desk then this is perfect.

Adaptable and portable, What more do you need?
This is a great device. It works great with the Nokia Lumia 1020 that I'm using it with. It's small and easy to carry around and set up. I love the design, it makes it very adaptable to different situations. You could even take off the expandable top piece that holds the phone and just use the screw or even use another attachment on it. With the current attachment though, it fits most phone. It doesn't work too well with the Sony Z3C though. It's just because of where Sony put the power/volume buttons. It makes it so you have to use the extreme left or right sides so It's not as stable as it would be with other phones. But it still works.

Great for FaceTime... and other things...
I bought this to hold my iPhone while I'm talking to my Mom and siblings via FaceTime. It works great! It holds the iPhone snugly and is very stable on the tabletop. The mount detaches so if I wanted to, I could always attach my iPhone to a standard tripod. My daughter plays the violin, and when you are video-recording a 5+ minute piece holding up your iPhone... you feel the burn in your arm muscles! I started using a monopod with my digital camera, and the mount makes it so I could use my iPhone instead of the camera.Additionally the mount also stretches wide enough to fit the Samsung Galaxy S4 with a Spigen Slim Armor case installed. It's my teen daughter's S4 and she actually uses this mini-tripod more than I do... taking selfies, video-recording herself and friends singing, dancing, playing videogames... and everything else that teens do.I tried the wrap-around legs (like they show them around a branch in the promo pic) and although it works, I wished the legs were just a tad longer, it would make the wrap-around much easier. This is the only reason for the missing star.Great product! I would recommend to any and everyone!

Though in time, I may need a larger, taller unit for my large format digital camera, this will always be my go to for a quick, e
Thrilled with this purchase. I have agonized for months and wasted so much time going back-and-forth between product reviews. I am so happy now that I have received the Joby Grip Tight GorillaPod.First, the seller sent me a terrific message almost immediately after completing my purchase I really appreciate that they made themselves available to answer any questions or concerns that I might have regarding my purchase. Then, the product arrive earlier than expected-what a nice bonus! When the product was delivered I instantly noticed that it was boxed very efficiently and easy to open. The packaging was also easy to open. While I think the graphic directions maybe a little misleading they were entirely unnecessary as this unit takes under a minute to assemble. If I can do it anyone can! It's really incredibly easy. What I'm most happy about is that it is so light weight and yesterday and fits my iPhone 6s perfectly. Within minutes of receiving the package I was testing it out and it's going to work perfectly for both personal and professional use.Though in time, I may need a larger, taller unit for my large format digital camera, this will always be my go to for a quick, easy, compact, portable tripod solution.I want to note that I read in another review that someone had suggested that this was not an authentic JO BY product. They went on to say that the tripod was not embossed or screen printed with the JOBY logo. Neither of these statements is true and it really puzzles me why someone would say that. It honestly Prevented me from buying it a few days ago until I spend a bit more time sifting through reviews and realizing that The product was indeed authentic.I highly recommend that you don't waste a lot of time and energy sourcing other similar products. This unit is exactly as advertised and you can't beat the price. Hope everyone enjoys their GitillaPod as much as I am.

It is useful, but has some issues
It's a great little travel tripod and I can wrap it around thin poles and the like. However, the top ball bearing doesn't lock in place easily. The weight of my iphone 6 with a case on it makes it fall over and so it's hard to use it wrapping it around a pole. There is a locking switch on the tripod but I've found it doesn't do much. So every time I use it I battle with balancing it so the phone doesn't become lopsided. Also, the grip attachment is not secure on my phone and I do not feel confident using it; I feel like my phone will fall out of it. So instead I have a case with a tripod screw and I screw my case into it. So 3 stars until they improve those two things.
