We have AO Smith RO system for drinking water. We never noticed an odor or taste of unfiltered water. Now that we have this system, the water is crystal clear, a “pure” flavor.We had a friend who was not a believer when I shared this with his family. We did a blind test of unfiltered water and filtered water - they picked filtered water five of five times. With better taste, we are consuming more water.I highly recommend the system and the filter. It seems expensive but worth every penny. Filters are about 15% cheaper on Amazon.

You need new O-Rings
I replaced my filters quickly. How ever they both leak. From other reviews it appears that the O-Rings are the problem. I don't know if I want to try teflon tape or spend the rest of my excitiense looking for O-Rings. If it has the A. O. Smith name on it. Do not buy.

Wishing for an alternative
These filters cost a lot for the time you get out of them. You get locked into one brand and wish there was a 3rd party. They do work good, but they just don't as long as you would hope.
