No insulation, but some temperature moderation from the foam inserts. You can purchase wine chiller sheets that do protect against hot temperatures.

The divider and bottle protector is not styrofoam , bu a thick sturdy foam like stuff- i dont know the exact name for this. I travelled to Bali recently and brought some champagne and wine, the padding takes ip a bit of space of course, but everything sirvives through check- in
