So much easier to use than an ah-so alone! I’ve opened many older vintage bottles with this and all the corks have stayed intact. Worth the price.

It works quite well and it is very well made. Maybe not $145 well made. It is quite expensive for alternative items that can be purchased for a small fraction of the price.

If you’re considering this item to open vintage wine. Buy it. The only one that removes the cork intact. Truly a game changer.

If you (really) love wine, you'll probably want one of these - easily the gold standard of how to open an old wine bottle with a potentially brittle cork. Tried it on a 1990 cab - easily the smoothest cork removal I've ever done. However, a quick search online shows that you can probably buy this for cheaper at major wine retailers or, if you're lucky, at a local wine store near you - recommend taking a look around before buying from these sellers.
