Truck Driver - PlayStation 4 (PS4)

Fun game. Not for kids. Just for the older people. No killing or fighting .0

I held off for a while buying this game because of the negative reviews but now I decided to buy it.I’m finding it an enjoyable game, the scenery is lovely and I’m enjoying the trucking, I find it a relaxing game.I have farming simulator 19 and really enjoy driving all the various equipment so a trucking game like this on PS4 is very welcome.There maybe better trucking games on other platforms but for me on my PS4 this game is great , I’m happy I bought it.

This game is ok for a truck sim game but still needs a bit of improving and optimising for it to truely show what it can offer.first of all let me say it’s great that there is a trucking game on PS4 to begin with.i didn’t think I’d ever see it! The game itself is a good concept with a more arcade like feel compared to euro and American truck simulator.there is more interaction with characters and your relationship with them changes as you complete jobs etc although I find it a bit flawed as it’s only pictures and txts onscreen but adds a nice touch and slightly gives an idea of the relationship between truckers and employers.the driving is ok and where the trucks feel weighty and stopping distance is good I find the steering sometimes a bit too heavy and unrealistic.the missions are pretty standard type stuff.the map is ok with some beautiful scenery but a bit small for a trucking game in my opinion.the trucks are ok but removes from the realism as the trucks are phone brands instead of ‘proper’ trucks which is disappointing.the customisation on said trucks is standard and not enough options in my opinion to make the truck feel truly yours.the prices are also quite low which means you can get a few trucks pretty quick although that doesn’t feel very sim like as a £100,000 truck is about £18,000.so you get a few trucks but only you can drive them and you can’t hire people to do jobs for you so multiple trucks is kinda pointless.theres also no business side of the game like owning and expanding a garage etc which would be a nice addition.the graphics of the game are ok but not great and I have seen major frame rate issues especially in the rear view mirrors which can be obscenely bad.although I had optimised the graphics for resolution in the settings and when changed back to graphics it was slightly better but a lot of detail was lost in the process.im playing on a PS4 pro by the way.the sound is ok but the music is limited and annoying after a while so I 40% it in sound settings.anyway it’s an ok game for probably the more casual truck sim fan and I love there being a truck sim game on PS4 but you might be disappointed if you’ve been playing ets2 or ats.I would still recommend this game as I’m sure I’m with a few updates and additions with time it could be a great trucking game
