Completely renovated a stone fireplace
This product worked well. I used the primer first and then 3 coats of paint. Would definitely recommend stippling the second and third coats as it delivers a better effect. The flecks of stone in the paint give a textured finish, which was fine for me.Admittedly I was renovating a stone fireplace and covering with a very similar colour, but it worked and masked all the stains and marks. Great product.

Looks like new!
Excellent! Would recommend. Made my fire surround look amazing! To begin with I didn't think it was going to look very good as it took several coats of paint, but after the 5th coat (I applied 6 coats) it actually looked like stone. I also have carving and rosette features on my fire surround which I was quite worried about painting over and non of the previous reviews mentioned anything about paining over features. I needn't have worried because they also turned out brilliantly! So pleased! It does take time and you need to apply each coat thinly but it is well worth it.

Think colour before you buy
Its perfect and would be even better had I bought the right colour.Choose wisely to avoid an expensive mistake.

The product went on easily but reated a lot of varying shade, maybe I am not good enough at painting?

Bought this before and it's stunning. It looks like stone once it dries. Expensive but it's a quality product.

Beware.
Beware.I ordered the colour Magna Sandstone.I should have ordered a colour swatch first.The colour looked lovely on the Amazon website and Stonelux website.After two coats of primer and three coots of the paint.... I hated it.The actual colour is an ugly shade of brown and the finish is more like sandpaper than stone.I’ve had to prime and paint with masonary paint to rescue it.Really disappointing. I don’t understand the rave reviews.

Great
This brought our stone fireplace back to life. Not used fireplace over the winter yet so can’t know how it will hold up but happy with it at the moment.
