Do some more overtime and spend the extra on this. All you do is pilot the head around the pond, no stopping , the emptying is automatic and works faultlessly. A selection of heads provides you with the right one for different situations. Its easy to clean and understand. An outstanding piece of kit. I removed pounds of debris from an old garden pond.

This is a really good machine. My only criticism is when the poles are put together to extend the reach, they are only a push fit and do not lock together. Ours came apart in the water and we had to retrieve half from the bottom. Otherwise, it's great.

Excellent for sucking up fine debris in a swimming pool

This has a really powerful motor and sucked up 5 bags of silt on first use. It is important the clean the two filters each time. Comes with a variety of cleaning heads for different applications. The clear suction tube is very useful to see what is going on. Not cheap but worth it.

We have a ‘rill’ that has a circular stretch around a central island. Manoeuvring around the island with the two long hoses and the flex can be a pain. On the plus side, it deals very efficiently with the garden debris that inevitably ends up in the rill. Definitely a machine I would recommend.

WOW this vacuum surpassed my expectations. I have not cleaned bottom of my pond for over 4 years and was worried this would be to much for any vacuum. but this beauty handled it with ease. I had to remove 2 small stones that got trapped in the rubber flap inlet. but that was the only time it reduced the flow. it sucked up masses and masses of pond weed and mud without any problems. its a lot of money but as an investment on the quality of your pond its a small price to pay in the bigger scheme of things. the suction control on the handle is brilliant as you learn how to use it to your advantage it makes the vacuum a pleasure to use. highly recommended. and am sure my fish are Smiling at me now :-)

Unfortunately, this Pond Vacuum just does not work for the job I needed it for. If you want to clean out your pond and pump all the water and detritus onto the garden (or wherever) I am sure it works very well. However, if you wish to clean fine dead algae from the bottom of the pond and return the water to the pond it simply does not work effectively.(Our pond is about 5000 litres and has a UV filter which kills and filters what it sucks through the pump, but does nothing for the stuff that settles to the bottom) The filter bag is not fine enough to remove the fine algae from the water, so it goes back into the pond as dirty as it came out - less large things such as leaves. I found that by pumping the return water through the polyester of an old pillow, the water is much clearer but this is messy, inconvenient and inefficient so I had no choice but to return this ( costly) item for a full refund under the no quibble guarantee. No problem with this...Amazon were very helpful.
