Beautiful Classy Kettle
This is a fabulous kettle - I was cautious due to some reviews but it is super. Having had Porsche design kettles in the past which are no longer available and missed them when replacing with a Bosch kettle which was fine, but a heavy obtrusive kettle, this one is smaller but perfectly formed. Love the spout which is narrower than the bosch and siemens but pours very well - it looks cool in my new moonlight grey gloss kitchen - it is a bit slow to boil but I can live with that and it is very quiet. Waiting for the matching toaster which hasnt arrived, but I really like the kettle.

Replacement for Siemens/Porsche kettle
We went for this kettle (although seems to be very expensive) because we have the ‘set’ of the now obsolete Siemens-Porsche design range, and it was the best match (from a looks point of view). The kettle arrived within two days and I must say that we are over the moon with the result. All the other Porsche designed equipment we have (coffee maker, juicer and toaster) are 13 years old now so apart from the outside covering being brand new the kettle matches – result! So we purchased for a specific reason, and are very happy with the result. Just waiting for the toaster to pack up now, and we’ll go for this range again.

well made and looks uber cool, but this is the second kettle that ...
Lovely design, well made and looks uber cool, but this is the second kettle that we have bought in under 2 years. The first one's lid refused to rise after about a month,we then had to manually coax it open and the second one's element gave up the ghost last month,it deserves 5 star's for design, but get's only 2 because of reliability, shame.

Excellent purchase and pours without any spillage. Worth every penny
The quality is very sturdy and solid piece. The open button is smooth and there’s a nice mechanism that seems good quality. It’s pours without spilling any water even when it’s filled up max capacity. I had the siemen kettle that lasted 19 years. Let’s see how long this one does.

so you have to spill out all remaining water always and best immediately which is very annoying
I had a similiar looking kettle "porsche design" I think from Philips for over 10 years, which is discontinued. I bought this instead. It is not solid manufactured as my old one. if you use it without the wall holding unit, which I guess most people will do, it stands very unstable. It seems to leave immediate scales in the tea, so you have to spill out all remaining water always and best immediately which is very annoying. Also its difficult to clean the bottom as the cover only opens half as you can see in the picture. It does not have a red ball or anything similar to show the water level which my old kettle had. The overall feel is not of good quality which is a huge disappointment for the price. It also leaked several times, but I couldn`t figured out where it came from. The rubber at the bottom got loose first time I didn`t lift the kettle but pulled it on the worktop. DON`T BUY IT.

It was impossible to obtain my usual Siemens Porche kettle ...
It was impossible to obtain my usual Siemens Porche kettle which finally gave up the ghost after 10 years. This Jacob Jensen Designer Kettle is a very expensive piece of kit at around just under £100. Designer please go back to the drawing board! The product is truly awful. The new kettle condenses around the rim every time it boils. It states in the instructions that this is normal and had I known the extent of this condensation I would not have bought the kettle. The extent of condensation is only evident after it has been used of course. Every time the lid is opened large water drops pass through the central divide and go onto the lid of the kettle and have to be wiped off with each use. What is the point of this? It may look an attractive kettle but I wish I had saved my money! Designer? Pah!!!
