Brilliant, Because our back window is over a conservatory weve never been able to clean it for about 20 years. That just changed. A touch expensive but worth it.

I’ve used the Tyroler Glider D4 magnetic window cleaner a couple of times. Living on the 2nd floor with no access to the outside of our windows, this seemed like the perfect solution. Some windows can be tricky to fit it on, and it takes a bit of fidgeting to get the magnet strength right, but the safety wire helps a lot. Works well once positioned correctly.

I have double glazed windows so was concerned about the strength of the magnet before I bough it. When I arrived I gave it a test run in the balcony door. I sprayed windows and just used it without the cloth. In the first go, the outer side disconnected and fell. It didn’t work well for me. I was struggling. It wasn’t gliding well. Maybe I had the magnets too strong. So I decided to put in the cloths..... It was sooo much easier. You can’t go too fast and while the recommendation is to use an S shape I found it quite easy to manoeuvre in any shape. The width of the product is good so you have a comfortable grip, overall quite happy with the result and the ease of use. Works well so washing the windows take a whole lot of time.

I purchased this after reading mixed reviews but thought it would work IT DOESN’T for triple glazed windows. It clearly says in description that this is suitable for triple glazed. I have triple glazed sliding doors upstairs and thought this would be the answer. It barely holds. It’s perfect for single or maybe even double but DO NOT PURCHASE if your intention is to use with triple. Total waste of money and wish I never bothered. If anyone knows of any other products/solutions that will work let me know otherwise a useless product for triple

This is about the only product out there that I could find to clean the 32mm glazing in my 8th floor flat, but… the outer bit drops a lot. With 32mm, you basically need the maximum magnet strength setting, but every time the other side drops off, it’s a bit heart-attack inducing, even with the safety cord. Don’t expect to get things all that clean, but it will get off the bulk of the dirt. Next, the cloths. These are a bit rubbish. The device comes with 2 thin cloths that Velcro to the two shorter sides. What that means is that when you move this from side to side, the cloth gets bunched up and loses contact with the window. It also exposes the corners, which have scratched the surface of the glass on the inside. They also don’t hold much water so you’ll be constantly needing to pull the outside bit in so you’ll can wet it again. Finally, the cost. £90 for this is utterly ridiculous if you ask me. Also, the best part of £20 for 4 spare cloths is daylight robbery. It got the worst of the dust off the outside of the windows so at least I can see out through glass that’s only smeared, but it was at some considerable cost and effort.

We live in a 2nd floor apartment, with window cleaning services that are really not good. Was sceptical about this but have to say that after a few trial runs and accidents it's a nifty bit of kit and quite easy to use. I use a spray window cleaner which works well and leaves virtually no streaks and have found that I don't really need to use the cloth. You have to be careful with the magnets, very powerful, which for cleaning is essential but if the green spacer would stay in place it would be much easier to unite the two magnet bars.

I spent a long time wondering whether to buy this or not. I read a lot of reviews and it was the clearly excellent customer service offered by Tyroler that made me decide to take the plunge. I could see that if I was not happy, they would do what they could to help. My windows are double glazed with an estimated 28mm width. From the reviews I decided not to risk the D3, but to pay the extra for D4 because I could see that it was adjustable and if I had overestimated the width, it would still work. I carefully followed all the instructions as I could see that some of the reviewers' problems were caused by not doing so. Spraying the cleaner on the window was an interesting initial challenge, but luckily I like to clamber, am fairly flexible and don't mind half hanging out of a window. I went slow but sure to start with. I didn't do the S-shape, I moved the magnets vertically down, it leaves an initial smear, but that comes off with the second wipe with the cloths. I fairly quickly adjusted the magnets until I was confident I was able to move them without them becoming detached. I really like the flexibility. Don't do what I did once and put the magnet without the string on the outside of the window! That is silly. Do check the string especially the knot as it arrived with a weak granny knot. After my first clean, the results are not perfect, but they are definitely good enough for me and I am delighted. I am so enjoying looking through my clean, shiny windows. I'm sure I could improved on the efectiveness too if I cared enough. The cloths with velcro on would have benefitted from better stiching and velcro on the sides too perhaps as they rucked up. I would have liked to support the window cleaner, but he just used a brush on a pole and water and the results were worse than what I have now. But hey! Not having my 6 windows cleaned for 9 months, I saved £90 which was enough to buy the Tyroler D4 (green knobs)

doesn't settle perfectly for a 4mm double window, but the cleaning s is good. One point is the small super towels I wish they had provided a few more because they get dirty real quick and don't get washed easily

Como tengo vidrios dobles, compre el modelo D-4. Despues de algunas pruebas pude lograr una limpieza en las ventanas muy buena. Como no podia mojar las ventanas por fuera, use el mismo Glider primero con un trapo con agua y luego le di un par de pasadas con un trampo limpio y con Windex para un resultado muy bueno.Hay que encontrar el modo que mas se acomode a tu situacion particular pero definitivamente funciona y se logra un muy buen resultado. Muy Recomandable

L’ho provato e nonostante ho una vetrata antisfondamento molto spessa, la calamita è così potente che il pezzo all’interno del vetro non si stacca! Molto comodo e veloce per pulire enormi vetrate fisse al muro, anche i panetti puliscono bene e non lasciano aloni. Costa qualche cosa in più ma ne vale la pena!

I was initially skeptical about the Tyroler Magnetic Window Cleaner, half-expecting it to be another overhyped Amazon product. However, after trying it out, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it actually works. A painful surprise that’s easily avoided with a little extra caution. Overall, this tool is a game-changer for window cleaning, and with a spare set of brushes and careful handling, it’s nearly perfect.
