I bought these scales as an upgrade for scales I have used for many years and which were getting very temperamental. I couldn't be happier. It was worth the additional expense over cheaper alternatives. They respond quickly and are certainly accurate enough for demanding home use. I bake regularly, mainly bread but also other things. It is only when measuring out salt that you notice that these scales are a little weaker when it comes to measuring small amounts. But if done slowly and with a bit of practice it is perfectly possible. Tare function works well and I don't have any problems with the way the touch buttons work (some people have reported difficulties).All in all I'm really happy with these scales and highly recommend them

Simple. Easy to use. Zero function so bowl contents can be weighed. Hold function.

Got this as it looks great and has a decent sized platform. The very major downside is that to change from metric to imperial you have to take off the battery compartment cover and use a small screwdriver or similar to flick a tiny switch to one side. It is a bore. Our last ones toggled easily at the touch of a button. Not sure if this was evident from the description
