DD DAGGER DEFENSE Flip up Aluminum, BUIS with Front Sight Tool, Rail Mounted Backup Iron Sights

I could have ordered back up sights when I ordered my rifle, for an extra $249. But I really couldn't see spending that much money on sights I don't plan on ever using. These attached easily and fit well. When sighting in, I had trouble with the adjustment tool for the front sight. It didn't seem to fit properly. As a result, I wan't able to get the elevation right. The windage adjustment on the rear sight worked fine. Back from the range, I was able to get the front sight adjusted, with the help of some handtools. The post was binding a bit and a drop of oil helped free it up (to be fair, the instructions state this). About this time, Mike from Dagger Defense wrote to ask me how I like the items I ordered. I explained the issue with the front sight tool and Mike said he'd a replacement set out ASAP. I told him he didn't have to do that, the only real problem was that the prongs on the tool were a little too big to fit the notches on the sight. I had, in fact already fixed this by filing down the prongs a bit. But Mike sent a whole additional sight set, with another tool. The post on this set was moving freely but, alas, the adjustment tool had prongs a bit too wide as well (approx. .072" compared to notches .062") again, a touch of the file and all is well. Excellent customer service!

I used these DD BUIS for the first time today and I really like them. The front sight broke, however, and it wouldn't lock in the down position like it's supposed to. I e-mailed Dagger Defense and Mike immediately sent me a replacement. Wow! I'm impressed! The front sight did fail but Mike made it right! As I told Mike, this was the main reason I chose DD BUIS. I read about similar positive experiences with their customer service so I decide to go with them. It's refreshing to see a vendor stand behind their products. Mike did! Thanks. Martin

I am impressed. The quality of these sights is on par, with sights that have cost twice as much, or more.I recently built the least expensive AR pistol that I could put together. I wanted to stick with the theme, and by some very low cost flip up sights.I chose dagger defense, because they are NOT polymer, and they are very affordable.Honestly, I was not expecting much, but these turned out way nicer than I thought they would be.I will not hesitate to buy dagger defense products in the future.

I really like these DD sights. For the money I'm not sure they can be beat. The sights flip up nicely and are sturdy. All of the edges are smooth and seem to be very well made. These co-witness with the Dagger Defense DDH-B reflex site perfectly. I might swap out the front post with a trijicon post for better low light visibility, but other than that these are perfect BUIS. I'm a veteran so supporting a veteran owned business is just a bonus. That's also the reason I decided to try these over the more expensive magpul sights and I'm really glad I did.

These BUIS get the job done. You cannot beat them for the price. I put them on a AR9 and had them Zeroed within 5 shots. The fact that it comes with the elevation adjustment tool is outstanding. I was a little nervous when I saw them but I’m glad I ordered them. Dagger Defense has earned a loyal customer. If you’re on the fence about these sights, just get them you will be very happy.

Good back up sights for the money.. didn’t have to do any adjusting hit a 6 inch target at 100 yards right out the box.. have them on my AR pistol .. my only complaint is after you hit the release button for the sights to pop up.. you have to manually press that button in and hold the button down to fold down your sights unlike magpul back up sights u just fold them down nothing else required but great sights for a bargain

Had a problem with the first set I recieved, the rear sight would not lock in the down position. I contacted Mike at Dagger Defense and he got a new set sent out to me very quickly. 2nd set works perfectly, was hitting a 4" steel target at 100 yards at the range yesterday. Apprecitate the great customer service.

This set arrived today.The first thing I noticed is that there are no markings to indicate which direction the adjusters should turn in order to adjust windage/elevation. I will assume that front sight adjustments are made clockwise to move UP and rear sight adjustments are clockwise to move RIGHT.The second thing I noticed is that the rear sight apertures are mounted to the adjustment screw with the right side ever so slightly higher than the left. The unit does move left and right when the adjustment knob is turned so it isn't binding and, ultimately, this may not affect anything.Other than that, the sights seem sturdy and well made. The included front sight adjustment tool is heavy and works.edit: I can't attach a picture of the rear sight for some reason.
