Good depiction of the business
It was interesting to me essentially because I was born and raised in Detroit and was familiar with all of Alan's ventures. I am also in the business so his insight into the behind the scenes type action was well portrayed. A good read.

Easy read. Entertaining
Great story. Living in Detroit area for 30 years I have had the opportunity to visit his clubs. Would read again.

Just ok but a little hard to believe
I read this more as a curiosity than anything else. Some guys (I wont say most) have wondered at one time or the other what it would be like to start their own gentlemen's club. Here's a glimpse of how it can be. Some of it I can believe but there were parts I had to shake my head at. He seemed to insinuate that most gentlemen's clubs, like vip rooms or dancers earnings were tips instead of a wage, were started by him. Maybe it was, but there are several instances of similar "ideas" that you begin to wonder "did he really think up all these ideas, for basically the way today's gentlemen's clubs are run today?" Again, maybe he did. I wasnt there so cant say definitely it didnt but, as I said, you may end up shaking your head as well.

Great Book
Great autobiography that captures a myriad of elements, from the nature of operating topless clubs, business, the history of Detroit, and the pursuit of success and passion.

Decent Read
I live in Southeastern Michigan, so I can identify with the geographical references in the book. The book interesting sometimes. After awhile it kind of repeats itself. On the good side: Alan M. made it! American style! I like that he started from nothing to build his empire. Decent read.

Great book and an easy read
This book was very interesting, especially Alan Markovitz's entrepreneurial spirit and his journey of starting and running high-end gentlemen clubs.

Good book.
Well wrote. Not sure how else to say it. It's pretty entertaining. Some parts go faster than others. I skipped the slowest parts.

Women with higher IQ's would not bother with someone like him. He choses women accordingly.
Mr. Markovitz is a legend in his own mind. sounds more like a kid talking than a real man.He is successful, I give him that. But very immature. When people shoot or attempt to shoot people, I usually like to hear BOTH sides of the story. When's that book coming out?I have nothing against businessmen or strippers for that matter. I do however know I see case after case of women with many problems with alcohol, drugs and most of the time sexual and or physical abuse that leads them into these types of lives.A hard life to leave. Not really glamorous but kinda sad really. When their beauty fades and the party is over, then what? Mr Markovitz claims to have "loved" stripper Kim. Maybe if he was honest he would have gotten help for her. Also you can live anywhere you want, money does not buy class or respect. When his wife starts to age what then?Would he let his daughter be a stripper? Why not?Did he get the bargain basement dental caps? Fred Flinstones' were smaller.Enjoyed hearing about his fathers' life, it was way more interesting and real. He is such a Vegas type phony person.Could really learn this stuff from ANY bar owner, his advice is nothing special.

Crap of the highest order
A piece of crap of the very highest order. It would be hard to conceive of a crappier book than this.
