BARTON Tropical-Style 2.0 Watch Bands - Quick Release Watch Straps

I got this as a replacement band for my Bulova Sutton that got ruined when I accidentally wore it into a mineral lake. Anyways, here are my thoughts on this to help you better decide if you should get this band (keep in mind these are my first impressions after trying it out for a couple hours, will update this if I have anything to add): Overall quality: - Good-Decent. Band was kinda stiff at first but it's starting to loosen up, and I expect it to loosen up even more as I continue to use it. - The leather seems okay, definitely not the real premium leather you'd find in $100+ bands. The bottom part is soft and nice but the surface feels almost paper/cardboard like? Not sure if it's a synthetic coating or what . I will say though don't let that keep you from getting it, it's not that bad (especially given the price), plus you're only really gonna be touching the bottom part which is perfectly fine. I just needed something that looks good without spending a whole lot and this works perfectly for that. - Another small thing I really like is the band loop/keepers are wide. I've had a watch band where the loops become loose and wither away and get really finicky to deal with, but I don't think that is going to happen with this one. The loops seem very sturdy. - The tang buckle also feels sturdy and good quality. Looks: - This is the main thing I like about this band, it actually looks really good and if you just saw me using it you would just think the watch came with it by default. The alligator pattern also looks great which I was hoping to match since my old band had the same pattern. - The gold tang buckle matches my gold watch perfectly, I am really glad they had that option. The stitching looks good too, very happy with the overall looks. Overall thoughts: To wrap this up in a few words, this strap checks off the main boxes. It might not be the best feeling highest quality leather, but for the price, it does its job very well. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I bought another Barton Tropic! These are great. Not expensive. Comfortable. Durable. So easy to install and remove. I have a 20mm black that I use on 3 different watches, it’s so nice to swap it around with the cool spring bars. You can get a perfect fit for you and your watch with the two lengths supplied. They look great, also. I definitely recommend them. They have a strong chemical smell initially but it goes away after about a week.

Material has a nice feel and texture leans to rubber vs plastic resiliency. It came with a long and short coupling band, so both on the arm and on the wetsuit are accommodated by the quick release spring bar. They did not include the little V notch tool to remove a previous band. I bought this at a considerable discount from the listed retail and find it to be a very good value at retail its a notch above the basement quality bands. The inside of the band has a nice raised diamond pattern that should allow moisture free movement while promoting sturdy wrist lock in grip. My application was for a Steve Zissou pattern dial Vostok Amphibia, being a 60's pattern eastern bloc design it's 18mm band is a trifle narrow for a weighty though small diameter piece. The blue colour and substantial thickness works well for this implementation and retain its potential diving utility as a tool. The buckle deserves special note its of good quality and not a ragged cheap sheet metal stamping.

I bought this strap about 3 years ago in the 18mm option to pair with a vostok amphibia. It still looks new after a lot of wear, and a lot of swimming. It has been great in those three years. I often have a problem with irritation and itching from rubber straps, but the TPU used in this band combined with the tropic style cut-out perforations have made this my most worn watch band in the last three years. FYI I have a wrist just under 8" and am wearing this strap fine usually on the second or third to last hole on the "long" strap option. I don't know what another reviewer was saying with it not fitting their 7inch wrist, they were perhaps only using the "short" band option. It comes with both long and short options.

I have a Phoibos dive watch. The original band got messed up. This band is near exact replacement in every way so the aesthetics of the watch stayed the same. The bonus is that the design to keep the loose strap end in place is superb. I never have to re-tuck the tail. Also, with the two band lengths they send I was able to get the right length tail to fit my wrist. I was skeptical when I put it in my cart but am thoroughly happy with this purchase and will buy Barton bands in the future with confidence.

Bought the 23 mm Barton Alligator Grain - Quick Release Leather Watch Band, even though the band itself was a 23 mm band, the quick release pins on the band are too short barely making it out the sides of the band, they are not long enough to reach the watch pin slots and the bands do not properly secure in place to wear. Luckily, I had some extra pins from my old band and a Watch Band Strap Link Pin Pusher Spring Bar tool. Got a pair of needle nose pliers and broke the tab off the quick release pins on the band and removed and inserted the pins I had. The bands are stiff and ridged, I can only get the band on to the first eyelet right now, after breaking it in I would probably gain just up to the second eyelet, so the band is short also. Nice band but those are two major downfalls if I had known I would not have bothered buying this item. Update: I have updated my review to three stars instead of two. It's a well-made leather band and looks good on my wrist, the quality is no doubt there. Gave it another star because as noted in my original review I was only able to put it on to one eyelet only, after wearing it, the band loosed up (as I thought) and I am able to get it on up to the third eyelet with breathable/wiggle room left on my arm. The only issue that I have is with the quick release pins that came with the band, thinking now that the wrong size pins were put on the band, my guess is instead of 23mm pins for the band, they must be 20mm pins, that's a QA issue.

I have had this watch band on my Timex watch for almost a year and half and it is finally starting to wear down but I still gave this item 5 stars. The band was easy to install and has handled my daily wear well. I live on a farm so my watch has seen a lot of elements and weather but it has held up really well. I'm planning to buy another one to replace my current one from the same seller.

I have been looking for something like this for a while now. Fits perfectly with the FM Conquistador and matches the original color 100%, as the watch came with a blue leather strap. I did swap out the buckle for the FM clasp, but other than that I can say it's a better option than the original as far as value-for-money goes.

Più bello di quel che appare in foto, arriva in una elegante confezione (con scatola e controscatola). Per essere, di fatto, un 'no brand', sembra un po' caro, ma è invece economico se si compara il prezzo alla qualità dell'articolo.
