If you try to make schnitzel using a normal “meat hammer” or so-called tenderiser you wont get a great result. What is used in the countries that major in schnitzel is one of these. The heavy, flat, wide surface ensures the meat does not tear as it is flattened. The offset handle means you can work easily on a worktop. This tool is superbly made. Heavy, forged, strong.Place meat between two sheets of plastic food wrap and flatten away. Produces huge (wide) thin schnitzel with ease. Finish in flour, then egg and then breadcrumb. Add seasoning to meat, or crumb according to taste...Summary: fabulous tool
