Plumb Craft Waxman7639310N Mesh Strainer Basket

Love this..... I have a Septic and prior to this strainer/drainer to much food was going down the sink. This has been great allows liquid to pass and food particles to collect!

We'd been trying to find a sink strainer with fine enough mesh to avoid any stoppages occurring. After a lot of searching in stores and on the internet we came across the Plumb Craft Waxman and it fit the bill. We'd had one similar to it before, but there were no indents for the stopper to be kept open, it took too long to find a spot where the stopper would not fall down and the sink would fill up with water. This strainer is high quality stainless steel, has indents to keep the stopper from dropping down automatically and also has a thin lip to allow small particles to flow into the strainer. We are very happy with this product.

keeps bits of food & "stuff" out of drain (which will quickly clog up) Center pug will hold water in sink. Will order more to have on hand when these wear out which is bound to happen in a couple of years.

Suffers from the only, and single problem I was trying to fix. The plunger drops down and blocks the water.

These strainers are a neat little thing. I buy a bunch at a time and use them in one of my sinks to catch stuff.The steel ones that come with sinks do not drain as good as these. You also have to clean the ones that comewith the sink all the time. I do not have to clean these as much and when they have outlasted their use I throwit away and put a new one in. Very good product at a great price.

I like the simplicity of these but what I really need is the basket strainer with the handle-knob but without the stopper on the bottom. I never stop up my sink (I have a plastic bowl-box if I need to soak something) so the stopper just gets in the way in a major way. I've been superglueing it in the upright and open position but the metal phlange around the mesh hold comes off. It is made in China so it's not surprising it doesn't last very long.

I have bought several strainers in local stores but none worked very well. Food would still get past the strainers and into the pipes. Looked thru several pages of strainer before finding this brand. And it has worked very well for me.

I bought this for my kitchen sink. It’s a strainer and has a stopper. Good buy.
