This is a fake obi belt for ornamental wear and for that purpose it's perfect

I was hopeful when this obi belt arrived, the fabric is beautiful and tasteful. The belt has a weird knot bow and Velcro that is excessive, imo. I decided to keep the obi but cut off the weird knot. Then it became like a wrap belt. Unfortunately, it wrapped around multiple times and makes my waist appear thicker than I’d like. I will probably mess with it some more so the belt wrap part doesn’t look too thick. It has Velcro which makes the ends stay, but adds extra width to my waist which I don’t need. I loved the fabric, it would probably be awesome for a thinner person. So 4 stars

This is supposed to be a traditional obi belt, but instead it's some kind of obi version of a clip on tie. It has the knot permanently tied and inside the belt is a velcro strip that attaches to another part of the belt. It's basically useless for anything other than perhaps a costume. And for the price, it doesn't make any sense at all.

This was exactly what I needed to wear my yukata in an informal setting and not have to go through the actual tying of the obi belt makes things so much easier. I love that this can also be worn with jeans and a kimono style top. It is high quality and I am confident it will withstand a lot of use.

Uses velcro and is not strong enough for actual use holding a sword or bokken.

It made the Rennisance Samurai outfit stand out. Easy to put on.

It has velcro to attach belt around waist but it doesn't line up well ,it's not worth it in my opinion look for a traditional obi and learn to tie it correctly
