Size:3 lbs Are you tired of messy oil spots on your concrete? Or, spending big dollars pressure washing? Why not try something NEW -- something safer and greener for our environment -- something that saves money over pressure washing with better results? eXIMO® is more than a surface cleaner -- the microbes in eXIMO actually break down the hydrocarbon chain into harmless water and CO2. eXIMO cleans better than pressure washing by working deep into the pores of concrete, restoring its original luster and clean appearance. EXIMO actually breaks down the hydrocarbon chain of petroleum stains deep within the pores of the concrete and restores the surface to its original appearance.

Nobel Prize for Oil Stain Removal
EXIMO should get the Nobel Prize for oil stain removal. See the photos. The oil leak, courtesy of the fine workmanship of Atlanta On Wheels and Finney Motors created an oil spill of my driveway that had me fearing the HOA, my neighbors and my wife. Being a cactus hugger, I didn't want to resort to heavy solvents so I tried (don't laugh -- it got 50% of it) Coca Cola and a brush on my drill driver. Then I tried a Simple Green type biodegradable cleaner. That got another 10%. However, there was a persistent oil stain. On 02 October I received the EXIMO and as you may see, probably used too much. Shot it with a water mist a couple of times the first few days and then ignored it. On 22 October the "after" photos were taken after a bit of sweeping. Amazing! Thank you for figuring out a safe, clean, nontoxic way to rid my concrete driveway of oil stains.

Works Amazingly Well, But Use Water
Used as the manufacturer recommends and given adequate time and a bit of attention, Eximo works as promised. My wife's old Lincoln had a serious oil leak from bad crankshaft seals. Fixing the problem would have cost more than the car was worth so we just let it leak until we were finally able to replace it. This might have been a good fiscal strategy but it was not so good when it came to the aesthetics of our driveway; the thickness of the buildup was measurable, so heavy that I decided to use a square-nosed shovel to scrape off a layer or two before commencing with remediation. This still left a thick, ugly layer of oil in place for the first application of Eximo, so my hopes were not high and the results of the first application which, per the online instruction video, was brushed on and left dry, were discouraging to say the least. Reading the printed instructions, I noticed that they stated that wetting the powder would speed up the process so after the next couple of applications I used a misting nozzle on a garden hose to wet it down, enough to leave a film of water on top but not enough to wash away the powder or cause runoff. The results were strikingly better, with a significant reduction of staining within days of each application. Thinking that if one watering worked well, maybe even more watering would work even better, I began misting the treated area daily, and got amazing results. The speed of the process increased greatly, with noticeable change every morning. After six weeks, there's still an ugly stain on our driveway but it's size is very much reduced and patches of clean concrete are showing through as I continue with weekly applications.Used dry, Eximo treatment is glacially slow and probably not cost effective. When used with water, however, the stuff is amazing and well worth the price.

Verdict - Uncertain!
Spill - Unknown volume of heating oil spilled on cement floor when service delivery person overfilled storage tank. Not detected for 36 hours and allowed to penetrate cement.Approximate Area - 20 Sq. Ft.First step: Oil soaked up with absorbent pads and granulated adsorbent material. Basement ventilated. Approximately 80 pounds of adsorbent used.Second Step: Eximo applied per instructions. Left in place for four days.Third Step: First application of Eximo swept and removed. Second treatment applied. Left in place another four days.Fourth Step: Eximo looked like it was working until I realized how hard it is to remove from cement. Product's color matches cement. Needs to be vacuumed off with a shop vac using a very fine filtration bag. Product is consistency of talcum powder and disperses in air easily. Fine filter dusk mask or respirator and eye protection a must when working with it.Fifth Step: After vigorous vacuuming, product still on floor. Used a 50/50 of Simple Green and warm water to wash spill area. Let sit for twenty minutes and washed a second time, then wet vacuumed up. Let dry for two days. Then rinsed with hot water and wet vacuumed area vigorously. As soon as hot water hit spill area, fuel oil smell detected. After it dried, spill stain was unchanged and maybe larger than first day.[I need to add here that Simple Green is a dispersant and it is possible the warm water and Simple Green acted to float and disperse oil that had penetrated the cement.]Sixth Step: Applied third treatment of Eximo.Notes: This product may be dry, but that doesn't make it easy to use. Gloves, eyewear, mask or respirator are a must. Forget what it says on the container about toxicity.According to instructions, a little bit goes a long way. You use a fine bristle brush broom to sweep it into area. But it's very hard to figure out if you have the right coverage. Basically, when you sweep it, it looks like you're moving it around in piles. If you try to vacuum this stuff up without a fine filter bag, you will create a huge dust cloud of fine talc like particles and whatever else is in this product, including the microscopic bacteria that supposedly eats oil. Do you really want to be breathing or swallowing this?I will keep trying this for the next few weeks and change my review accordingly. At the moment, I'm not convinced it works.Photos:1. After first treatment with granulated adsorbant.2. After send treatment of adsorbant.3. After two treatments of Eximo and Simple Green warm water wash.

Works as Advertised
I saw the commercial and read the reviews and was skeptical, but I still needed to clean my driveway so I ordered this product. I am GLAD I did. It works better than I thought. The oil and transmission fluid stains from my friend's car came up with very little effort. Very easy to use. Just throw some cleaner on the driveway and spread it out, wait for a little while and then sweep your problems away. I used it on a stubborn stain in the street and it cleaned that up too. You do have to repeat the process on heavily stained areas and it may not completely erase the stain but it does a good job. I am happy with my purchase and I am not a handyman.
